could I be out of shape in 4 months?
Just went on a 1.5 hr bike ride, hilly terrain, and my thighs were killing me and I got really tired.
This was only the 3rd ride since winter. Last November, I had gotten so that I could do those hills fairly easily.
Could I have lost muscle in 4 months? I've done other things, hiking, golf but no cycling.

OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHH yeah. Definately. However, you should be able to pick it up shortly if you keep at it.
thanks...........I'm hoping.
Yepper but if you were at it before it won't take long!
I was doing the Willy-B (Williamsburg Bridge in Brooklyn, NY) without breaking a sweat just back in Nov. I took a spinning class last Tuesday - OMG! After the pain wore off it was nice to know that I had conditioned my body into great shape and I will be there again shortly!
Happy biking!
It is doubtful that you lost any muscle, just cycling fitness. I will come back quickly once you are riding regularly again.
25 miles was my limit last yr but didn't get my bike till mid summer. I'm anxious to see if I can go farther this yr.
thanks.
thanks.
You can if you want too.
I get so tired and snacks don't help. I'll have to build up my endurance.
