Shape's "10-pound meltdown"
Has anyone tried this and gotten results? I downloaded the plan a few weeks ago but have yet to try it. I don't need to lose 10 pounds so the diet is not the one for me but I wanted to throw it out there for others.

I have not done the diet, although I have incorporated several of the points of the diet (such as trying to select low GI foods) into my daily routine. If you follow the diet to the letter, you get about 1500 calories a day and need to do roughly 300 minutes of cardio per week.
My take is that it is a good solid plan for anyone who wants to have a program in black and white. I personally can't follow a strict diet because I feel, well, restricted. I would rather keep myself at 1500 calories on my own and select the foods that make sense for me. However, I will tell you that I am becomming a huge believer in the low GI thing: I believe it helps me have more enery and, with the cardio and weight training that I do, has helped me decrease my overall body fat.
Is jump roping as good an exercise as running?
