I was going to have to testify as 'the keeper of the trespass notices'.

But I guess once the defendant knew I was there, he decided to plead guilty. So I never made it out of the witness waiting room.

Uh oh...was I supposed to appear today for my strip club incident??  :P

Yeah, at another job, I was the person designated for my region to appear for collections cases in court.  99% of the time, you could tell they were thinking that nobody from our company would show up, and as soon as they knew I was there, they'd just talk to our attorney and settle it.  Ha!

When I was told I could be called to testify I thought it was cool. But then when they came and got me I kinda got freaked.

I've yet to sit on a jury.  Then again, there was only once where I wanted to be on one and now I have a lock on getting out of it (having been a paralegal pretty much disqualifies me :D).

Testifying would be fun, especially if I'm asked to point at the defendant.  I'd point at the questioning attorney instead. :D

The first time is the hardest, I think.  I guess you would really just be verifying that the info is all correct and stuff?

I had jury duty once. There was only one case scheduled for the day I went and they ended up settling. So we pretty much went and sat through the video they show and hung out for about an hour, then went home.

*knock on wood*  I've been called for jury duty one time.  I had moved to another state two months prior to them serving the notice, though, so needless to say I got out of that one.

If I were to be called now...I dunno.  On the one hand, I'm all for doing my civic duty, but not at the expense of my paycheck (we aren't paid for it.)

That sucks that you don't get paid. And what the county pays you for showing up is like $15.

I guess I would just say that I was the one to enter the info and that I keep all the orginals at my desk.
