Morning!!! 1000 Here We Come!
Hopefully so! Good morning, Kallie! How's the weather in B'more?
Not bad up here in northern Harford Co.  Mostly wet this a.m.  Was a b**ch getting home last night though.
Yeah. Took my 70 minutes getting home (half an hour longer than usual) and it was EXHAUSTING.
Good Morning!
Good morning, Amber!
It's a cold one here today.
Not too cold. It was slippery this morning, though.
Morning Amber!

Poor DD ended up having to call off work last evening.  She tried to leave and there was a car stalled at the end of road so there was no way to get out of our neighborhood.
Oi. On the way in some van slid off the ramp onto the 495 and was in the divider. Poor van.
They do a great job clearing the roads where I live. I was suprised by the amount of salt they use. If there is a hint of ice, the trucks are out salting the roads.
Well.. I hope so? Chicago regularly gets Snow and Ice? Virginia less so.
Yeah, it sucks here for clean up after a snow/ice event.  Don't know why - we have bad weather every winter.  It's not like this is Florida where they only see it once in a blue moon.

Having grown up in Illinois and then moved here from Omaha, I don't get to fussed over it, but hate that the clean up is so poor.
It's nothing compared to a cold Nebraska day though.
I think alot of it is budget. They choose not to budget the extra money for salt trucks, plows, etc.. that places like Buffalo and Chicago NEED to.
You got that right, Amber!  You ain't seen nothing until you are trying to scrape your car with a -40 wind chill!
True HK.

But hey, I PAY my HOA fees so at least they could clean THOSE roads!  Dang!
Brrrrr... Not even Buffalo usually got that bad...
I think in the 4 years DD was in school there, school was cancelled more often due to temps like that than from actual snow.  You can't have kids at the bus stop in that kinda weather!

I still fondly remember the blizzard of '77 in Illinois.  I was 10 and we were off school for days and days.  Had to climb over 10 foot piles of it even once school reopened.  They had snow shoved everywhere, I swear!  And when it melted, what a muddy mess.  But at 10, it was all fun!
You're right Kallie. They have some extreme weather in Nebraska. The summers are horribly humid and there's not even any large bodies of water around.
