I was looking up cnn @ work and came across this article (url below.) Jeez.... You truly are not SAFE anywhere anymore. Sorta makes me glad I work out at home but again someone could break in and try to kill me as well. *shakes head*

Yea, you are right.... in his head. I agree- more likely a woman he used to go out with. so sad.

I saw that on the news this morning while I was on the treadmill at the gym.

not A woman..all of them. This guy kept a blog of how much he hated women and couldn't understand why he has been rejected for 30 years of his life. He said he had not had sex in 19 years...no wonder he went crazy.  just a little joke...but wow, this guy is a wacko. apparently he attempted his "plan" back in january and couldn't go thru with it. Here is a link to his blog:

The blog is already down

I live in Pittsburgh, and it was all anyone could talk about last night!  CRAZY.  You just never think things like this will happen so close to home.  I haven't read all of the articles, because there are so many, but my Hubby e-mailed me today and said that he parks in the same 'park and ride' to get into downtown and they ride the same bus!  Just plain scary.

I live in Pittsburgh, too, and my boyfriend works with one of the women who was shot in the gym.  This guy was definitely nuts; you just have to read the first entry of his blog to figure that out.

So sad.

Wow I mustve clicked on the blog link RIGHT before they shut it down. I read it all and then came back here and tried to click it again and it said it was unavailable.

Is that picture that he as on there really of him? Because he is an attractive looking guy...I wonder why his mind was so messed up. I imagined something different.

I've just read a copy of the blog, scared me a bit!

Does anyone else find it slightly disconcerting that the blog is still up?  I'm not sure why, but I think it should have been closed or taken down or whatever the term is.  It's almost like it's sensationalizing his actions? 

Maybe it's just me, but I almost feel like it's disrespectful to the victims and their families to keep it on-line.  Of course we all want to be informed, but is there any actual information on his blog that is beneficial to the general public?

An insight into how unhappy the guy was, his daily life, thoughts and fears and why he was preparing to do what he did.

Andie - I guess that's kinda what's bugging me.  It's what he wanted people to read after the fact - like he was justifying his actions.  If anything, the general public should have access to blogs documenting the lives and hopes and dreams of the victims.

Split I understand where you are coming from, I guess people just want/need to understand why someone would do such a thing. I read it on a copy site the original was taken down very quickly. I suppose it will be evidence of sorts. 

I have no desire to take away from the tragedy of the killings, but at the same time having read his on line diary if you like I actually feel quite sorry for him too, that he was so desperately unhappy that he i don't know drove himself to take innocent lives.

I find it all very sad.

I actually  know  a man who could be this guy,  After years of being rejected becuase he always went after the Farrah Fawcetts (Yes I am old)  and he was more of the "Tom Hanks" kind of guy, he decided women are just stupid because afterall he was all that and a bag of chips, if that Bit**h didn't want him than all women must be idiots.  We had to totally cut all ties with him because he became so angry and judgemental.  I truly hope we don't have  a copy cat.
