Short girls (5'4" and under) with a significant amount of weight to lose! (40+)
Hey everyone,
I'm 5'0" and I currently weigh 175. I know there is another short girls thread, but most of them seem to already weigh 120.
So anyway, I need some big time motivation. Weekly weigh ins, advice, encouragement, etc....and I'm betting that some of you out there could do the same.
So how about it?
Hi pbear123: I'm doing good this weekend. Although my husband brought me 1/2 of a wonderful crescent roll while I was on the treadmill this AM. I told him that negated my workout! He is the baker in our family and he is good at it. This week will be a hard one for me. We're going to his parents on Thursday and then my family will be on Saturday. That's 2 Thanksgiving dinners and pie!!! I hope I can be sure and get all my exercise in, but with company here it might be difficult.

I am glad that we are done our thanksgiving already here in Canada. Seems sooo close to christmas and that time of the year is already hard enough. My 21 year old son moved back home this weekend so the house is chaos and the other boys are grumbling to have to share their bedroom again. This week should be a big adjustment for everyone. Has anyone started their christmas shopping I havent even thought about it I guess I should get a move on in that area of my life... ahhhh

Well I had a bit of a party this weekend so there was obviously some alcohol calories and picking at crisps but on the other hand I didn't have time for a proper meal, not the best way to save calories I know but it wasn't intentional so we'll see how thats going to affect this weeks weigh in....
As for christmas shopping....don't shoot me but I've almost finished ![]()

Well I am not expecting any reults tommorow. As the scale this morning says that I am up a pound already. TTOM why oh why oh why. All this excersise and I seem to be gaining. I suppose it could be muscle . I lost more weight just walking then doing couch to 5k and taebo... ahhh so frustrating.

Well I guess I'm first to post for this week.
Last week: 181
This week: 178.4
I am not super thrilled because my 181 day was a fluke of sorts--so it's not actually a big loss. My trend shows that last week I was at 179.50 and this week at 178.81. Those numbers are more realistic and make me happy. No matter what, I am still seeing a downward trend!
PS: I had pizza last night for the first time in a while. I LOVE veggie pizza so I got that, but I also chose thin crust instead of the regular stuff. It was light and crunchy and I thought I made a good choice. WRONG! Turns out, using three different calorie counting sites, I still ate nearly 700 calories! I was so mad because I wasn't even full--not even really satisfied! Just goes to show that what I thought was a better choice still was horrible! I'll remember that for next time!

Lame, but it is what t is at least I didnt gain, ive had a rough couple of week just lacking motivation and not caring so I need to get with the program because I KNOW I NEVER wanna be the old Chantale again so here to a new week. TTOM doesnt help much either aunt flo arrive this morning..sigh.

I worked hard this week and really watched what went in my mouth. Oh my gosh, I was aiming for 170 by Thanksgiving and I made it. That's 40.2 lbs gone. Thanks for all the support. Now, next week who knows what it will be because of Thanksgiving, but I'll take it for now. This really motivates me to keep on going. Last night I bought a new blouse and it wasn't a women's plus size. It's been forever since I've been able to do that.

I've been making awful choices. Deep fried foods, and far too much of it. I'm usually good during the day, but then the evening comes and kicks my butt. I need to have more than 2 days off a month! Or better will power, that's the one that's more likely to happen.
Here's to trying harder and actually getting down to 160 so I can wear my pretty new red dress on my birthday (Dec. 9).
So sad TTOM and the scale didnt want to leave me alone on my birthday or even be nice to me

Last night I bought new jeans thinking that it was my size took them home. To find out I should have gotten the 12 instead of the 14 that was a shocker. Inches must be coming off which reminds me time to take my measurements soon, hehe maybe after this terrible bloat.

Slight gain this week but I think my muscles must be complaining and retaining water after the past few gym sessions this week. With this gym refurb and all new equipment I can't seem to leave once I get there, last night I signed in at 6.35pm and signed out at 8.50pm after burning over 900 calories. I'm going all out at the minute cos I desperately want to give myself a christmas present by being in the 150's by christmas!

I need to quit working at the restaurant SO bad. I do so well all day and then I just blow it when I get there. Especially since if we're not busy, I just munch munch munch on everything in sight. I have no willpower! I thought I did okay yesterday...but then when I got home I added up everything in my head and it was definitely a 2000 calorie day.

Guys, things are not going as planned... I have been doing well (exercising 5 - 6 days a week and eating well) up until the 15th of this month when my GF came home for 7 days and I stopped counting calories... I was still trying to be good but overindulged in deserts and wine... I haven't gained but I certainly have not lost anything! I am fluctuating between 150 - 152...
I have managed to get back into exercising (swimming for an hour 3 times per week and walking for 45 minutes 5 - 6 days a week) but the eating within my calories is proving to be harder than I thought! I have been consistently over by 300 - 400 calories every day over my limit of 1450 which brings my eating to almost maintenance (not counting exercise)...
Some good news... I have been experiencing a shortage of 'bottoms' (pants, skirts, jeans) as the ones I was wearing (size 12) have altogether stopped fitting... SO I went online and ordered a couple of size 10 jeans and pants from BR and Gap using their measument/size charts and they were too big!.. After seeing this, I went through my closet (yet again) and tried on some size 10 pants I had been hanging onto hoping to wear them again and they are also too big! so now I really have nothing to wear except for sweats.. I'm sure I'm not a size 8 yet but it's within reach, so yay for that!

v_avila I think you will be suprised and fit into the 8. I Bought a pair of 14 thinking that they would fit nicely well turns out i was wrong I need 12's
Lynners it seems that the winter months we all are tending to head for the warm comfort foods. Are both your jobs in a restaurant? I finished couch to 5k week 3 somedays it is so hard to get myself on the treadmill but when I am done I feel so much better refreshed, crossing my fingers the scale moved this morning so hopefully it keeps going in a downward trend. I am hopeing to reach the goal of 175 by christmas time. Have a good weekend I will keep checking back for messages this weekendIt's Sunday and it's pretty slow here but I wanted to post the good news.. I weighed in at 149 this morning
! I hope my little 'plateau' (not sure I should call it that) of 150 - 152 has finally been broken and that the 140's are here to stay.. well, at least for a month or two while I make my way to 135!
