Hey everyone,

I'm 5'0" and I currently weigh 175. I know there is another short girls thread, but most of them seem to already weigh 120.

So anyway, I need some big time motivation. Weekly weigh ins, advice, encouragement, etc....and I'm betting that some of you out there could do the same.

So how about it?

Nice to see your still around loosingit57 congrats on the continued  weight loss.  I agree I do hope that the other girls come back, they will when they are ready.

Tonight is my last run of Week 4 of my couch to 5k.  Week 4 or 5 is the weeks that people quit this program.  I am kinda scared for next week as there is a 20min run snuck in there.  Guess I will see how I feel tonight after my run if it is easier, if not I will repeat this week again till I feel more comfortable.

I might actually make it to my goal!! I weighed in at 161 this morning. That's only 1 lb to go until my birthday! The weekends are always tough (that's when the boyfriend is here), so I'm going to have to work really hard to be good.

Congrats lynners :) My goal is to be 175 by christmas

wow impressive a lot of responses, guess i jump in

im 5'2" 196, im working toward about 160 as my first big goal, or to fit into my size 12's which ever happens first (wear a 16-17 depends on style) so i have a ways to go. my goal is to get to my size 12's by april 10th. ive got a social event im going to with my bf so i want to be back to that weight so i can feel comfortable dressing up a bit. i was 165 just short of 3 years ago, and befor that i was about 180-190 and i was the happiest with myself at 165 so i think if i can at least get to that point ill be happy with my work.

currently im working with an idea that i hope will not fail me. befor i lost the weight doing low carb dieting, which was fine and dandy then, but im vegetarian and have been for about a year with no interest in going back just yet. so im doing a modified low carb. LOT AND LOTS of veggies, no soda, no white rice/bread/pastas, HIGH fiber, and lots of fluids (drinking lots of club soda cause it keeps me from craiving my sugary soda, and diet snapple which i love) so far im a week into this and im down 3 lbs, but i think thats just water weight ... but still its something.

Linz... I live in Diss in Norfolk.  Its a small market town right on the Norfolk/Suffolk border, halfway between Norwich & Ipswich.   Although its quite a small place we still manage to cram in a very large Morrisons, a small tesco and a small somerfield supermarket! I've lived here now for 12 years, have always lived in Suffolk as my family originate from Ipswich.  In-laws are from Liverpool and we still have family up there that we go visit once or twice a year.

Hi all!

So I didn't weight in this week...partially because I was soooo busy (out of town) and partially because I was upset with myself.

I haven't gone to the gym for over a week. I have been sick and haven't had much energy. I went to the gym one day and was ready to leave after 5 minutes. I did some stuff at home, but there is nothing like the gym. Even worse, I haven't been coming to the site! I have been watching my intake, but not actually counting (and I could be making better choices!)...and weighing myself but not recording it. I am disappointed in myself because I know what I am doing--getting unmotivated!

I think I need to set myself a goal...so here it is 175, solid, by New Years. I'm hovering at 179 now, so thats a 4 lb goal for 3ish weeks. It will be a challenge because I have a BILLION holiday parties between now and then...but...I have to try!

On a lighter note, I was doing some clothes shopping last weekend and bought myself a pair of Dockers jeans in a 16, my standard size. Well, they had a stretch quality to them (nothing out of the ordinary) and they were way too big after wearing them for an hour. (I HATE WHEN THAT HAPPENS! All of a sudden you have saggy butt)! I went back and exchanged for a 14...same thing! Still too big after and hour! I finally went back and found a 12 short and they fit perfectly! After and hour, they were just perfect instead of falling off! Now--I don't know if it's the brand, but getting into a 12 made my day!

Congrats on getting into a 12! That's such an awesome feeling when the size you think you were is too big. I can't wait to have that! :)

Well ladies how is your weekend going.  I got alittle chrismas shopping done, no nearly as much as I needed to get done tho.  My husband is not much a help in that area I do it all.  Just found out everyone will be here for christmas so it will be a housefull.

Did my first run of week 5 of my couch to 5k it wasnt so bad, by the end of the week it has me running a 20min interval the thought is scary.

Hey everybody!! Well, pbear, I have to say I have not been great this weekend.  I had my husband's Christmas party last night and had the cheesecake!  AACK!!  Today, we had pancakes for breakfast.  Now I have to say my husband makes them and he does put flaxseed and oatmeal in them so it does have some healthy aspects to it.  But, the syrup cancels out whatever good is in themSmile  I hope to get myself back on track tomorrow and put my nose to the grindstone until Christmas.  I don't know what is up with me!!  I better get a handle on it or I will be very upset with myself. 


Hope everyone else is doing better than me.  I don't know what it is about the holidays that just mess me up.

im still checking in on here i started a running routine today i was sore after i dont run... at all... so this will be interesting to see how far i get.

took my dog, hes getting a bit old and is lazy so he had to work pretty hard too, barely made it up the stairs XD

That's great lynners!!  You did better than I did last weekend.  But today I feel alot better than I did last week.  I was fighting a virus as well as the munchiesSmile

I have renewed my vow to make good choices in my eating and to get both my workouts done every day.  I got them both done already today and I feel great!!

If I can maintain my weight during this holiday season I will be happy.  If somehow I manage to lose I will be ectastic!. (did I spell that right??)  Anyhow, I hope you all have a great day. 

cycypress:  Good luck with the running.  Keep it up and before too long you'll be cruising.  I still just walk (although pretty darn fast for me) on the treadmill.  I have to be careful with my knees.

160.0 this morning (when I first tried it was 161.6, but then I tried again and it changed...not so accurate but I don't care!). I've also noticed that I tend to stand near the back of my scale rather than in the middle, and when I stood in the middle is when I got 160.0. I think I'll go with that from now on haha.

It's pretty red dress time tonight! I can't wait. There's definitely going to be way too much food and wine though. I'll try and control myself a little bit, but my main focus is going to be having fun. It's sort of a combination birthday/holiday good bye for all my friends going home for Christmas break. Plus my boyfriend is driving up for it and I didn't think he was going to. It's going to be a good day.

I hope all you lovely ladies are having great weeks. I'll check back in tomorrow for weigh in!!!

I got both my workouts done already today and feel so good after.  I'm not sure how my weigh in will be tomorrow, but I'm trying to be good now, so I'll take what I get and move forward.

thanks! im still at it, i did my second run today. im pretty sore just above my knees i think thats just a product of i never ever run. im trying an eating plan with my mom to see if this works out ok for me. its called flat belly. our neighbors are having some good results with it so i think theres a good chance ill do ok with it. gonna give it two weeks and if i dont see anything positive ill go back to my low carb.
