Short & Sweet, Looking for Motivation or a Buddy!
I feel like I've been trying to lose the same 5-10 pounds for the past five years. Unfortunately, even though I'm able to reach my goal weight I can never keep myself motivated to maintain it.
At about 5 feet tall, I'm currently somewhere between 108 and 110 pounds. My goal is to weigh between 100-105 pounds, though I don't necessarily have a date I'd like to achieve that.
Over the past year, my life has changed quite a bit. I've become more active, but my nutrition is sliding. I've gone from a strict vegan to a fast-food eating omnivore and I'm very unhappy with my diet.
Is anyone experiencing some of the same feelings? Would you like to "clean up" your diet - Not just to lose weight, but to feel better?
I would love to maintain a thread with a few people with similar goals. You don't have to be the same height or weights, just have something in common. Things I'm currently struggling with are making poor food choices, binge and emotional eating.
If you're interested, please feel free to reply or PM me.
Best of luck!
I just started a group here in the motivation forum to help stay motivated:) It is called stay positive, make progress, and see results. Hopefully we can get a good group of girls to help inspire us to get where we want to be:) Come check it out:)
Good luck!
You are right where you need to be accoriding to the height/weight chart.
The low weight is:103
the target weight is : 120
and the High weight is: 137
at 108 - 110 you are at a perfect healty weight. Why is it that you want to be underweight for your height. your goal weight of 100lbs is for someone who is 4'10" and that is the "low" weight for them.
one thing i can and will suggest is to add more "live foods" into your diet. more salads, berries, fresh vegetables, grass fed beef, free range chicken. by adding these types of foods into your diet, you kill the "junk food" cravings that come with foods that have little or no nutrient value. If you are dying for a big mac, order a salad intead of fries and then cut the big mac up and put it on ur salad. you will notice as time goes on that you will no longer crave the junk food.
hope this helps

Where are you getting this info?
94.6 lb - 127.6 lb is ok for people who are 5'0.
A 4'10 person can be 88 lb - 118.8 lb....so 100lbs is not 'low' for them, but average.
As for the OP, hey, I'll join.

Thank you for all of your replies!
Tyners, I'll check out your group! Thanks for the tip!
Trish, I 100% agree with the food choices you listed. I used to have a very clean diet and it's really slid since meeting my current boyfriend. I've spent the past week trying to get back to my roots, filling up on fruits and veggies instead of processed foods. I feel so much better!
Soupcan, Thanks for your support! The whole "weight range" and "BMI" things are tricky, seeing as everyone has very different bodies. I'm on the smaller end of 5' (usually 4'11" and change) so I think I'll be satisfied at my goal of 100-105. (P.S. Your avatar makes me so happy! I haven't seen that show in ages!)
My goals right now are to try not to eat unless I'm actually hungry and to keep up on getting exercise every day. I've been playing tennis in the evenings which seems good, but I'd like to get some weight training in, too.
