Hi! I'm hoping to start a shorties club, probably for women because mostly women are 4'11" - Idk maybe 5'4", it could vary a little i guess. Does anyone want to join? We shorty women (or I should say "petite") need to stick together, especially women who are older (because our metabolism sucks sometimes), but age could vary also, it doesn't matter. Just wondering if there is already a thread for this, been searching but haven't found one yet. Your starting weight could vary also, i'm not picky. Women just have alot harder time dropping the weight (i.e. monthly cycles, moods, water weight, you know...)
Me: Just started this website on 5/30/07
Starting Weight was: 121lbs (stubborn pounds)
My Height is: 5'0"
My age is: 38
My activity level is: Moderate (Light)
My Calorie Expenditure is: (around 1700- it varies with exercise)
My goal weight is: 110!
My goal date is: 8/30/07
My current weight: 6/3/07 is: 119!
What else? Oh and my daily calorie intake is between 1200-1400 (1600 on a bad day)
Anybody else want to join. I would love support and fellow chat members, kay? thanks!
P.S. I know that it only seems like I have a little to lose, but BELIEVE ME, those are the most stubborn last pounds to go!

Hey everyone!
I relapsed on nuts today and ate a whole bag of almond/cashews/pistachio trail mix. Im not going to feel bad about it though because tadays the day I do the most cardio and weights. I also just got some books that have workouts on the ball and exercises with weights.
Have a great night everyone!

I had extra calories to eat yesterday. I spent them on 4 Samoas. And they were good!
Hey ladies,
it's almost the weekend. How is everyone?

Hi all,
I just arrived in Spain to start living with my boyfriend for the summer. I´m a bit worried b/c I´ve been going to the gym pretty religiously this past year and here I don´t have one yet. The last time I lived here i ran outside all the time, but that was when we had a car and could drive outside the city limits (here it´s horrible to run inside the city). I also have to travel a fair amount over the next month for my studies - so it will be a lot of discovering new running routes and trying to adapt my diet to what´s around. does anyone have any advice about keeping up their activities while travelling for an extensive period? I´m also a bit anxious about adapting my strict diet to living with someone who can eat/drink a lot more than I can!!

Hey everyone!
I'm doing ok? I just started back to school and already my workout schedule has been effected. i am so worried about gaining because school is when I gained all my previous weight.
Im off to the gym now though so wish me luck and GO CAVS!

Doing great. I upped my calories ever so slightly and am really focussing on what I eat now. I have been bringing lunch to work also which limits what I can consume - limits it to a good number of healthy calories. I am now eating between 1200 and 1500 per day and am losing overall. Holding steady at 114-115. Going away for the weekend now though so fear what I may come back with (no access to calorie count or the scales!). Wish me luck!
My goal this month is to be 112 by June 22nd .... might not be able to do it reasonably .......
Also, LittleSara you asked about your calorie deficit in a previous post. I think if your BMR on this site includes whatever level of activity you told them you did. So I would not include the extra small activities to my calorie expenditure which is giving you the big deficit. I wouldn't eat back those calories as I think you are actually doublecounting some activities. At least that is what I do to maintain the 300 calorie deficit and I am losing weight consistently.

I was in a time-crunch so I didn't add age; height; calories and whether or not you are maintaining or losing. So when you do post with your stats, lets fill in all that info so that other newbies can see comparable weights (because we are all different heights and frames, etc). If anybody is steadily maintaining, that is encouraging to the newcomers so that they can see, the weight can and does stay off! Other than that happy weekend and share, share, share. By sharing our experience, strengh and hope, keeps us in recovery also one day at a time. :) :)

glad you could join us. :)
When I left the states a few days ago I was 113 (on the scale at the gym, the one at home said 114...I´m going with the one at the gym). But I still don´t have a scale here, so thinking about buying one today. Strangely enough, I took the last two days off from running a feel great! I think I was beating myself up these last few weeks, but I´m eating much less these days w/o the exercise - about 900 cals a day and am not hungry for anything else...assuming I´ll adjust in a few days.
Not that I have a scale, but I feel a bit lighter after these past two days, who knows:)

Hey I'm also a shorty-compared to most of my friends who are all at least 5'7"
My height is: 5'3"
Age: 18
Activity level: Moderate(heavy workout)
Calorie expenditure: 1800-2000
Current weight: 118lb
Goal weight: 105lb
my daily calorie intake is about 900-1000. I'm definitely loosing inches but the scale is abit slower,is this because I'm building muscle? I have rheumatoid arthritis but am going into remission so I lost ALOT of muscle tone in the past year and a half. Maybe I'm just getting it back-any opinions?

Yay, school's almost out! (I tend to eat more healthily when school is out, even if only the weekend, so that's good for me :) )
I lost 4 pounds, yay. Well, actually I lost 5, but then I gained one back. But better than nothing :)
So now I weigh 123 lbs, 13 (or more perhaps, if I decide to lose more) to go!
My friend's party is today, so I got to be really careful.
Hope all y'all have been having a good time on CC, and are on the right path to your goal.
fizzgig: It might have to do with your caloric intake. You need to get a minimum of 1200 a day, else your body starts storing the calories (as fat) because it believes there will be or is a shortage of food (well, really it's in starvation mode, though I also heard that that is under 1000, which you are at anyway).
So try eating a little more, make sure to have fruits, veggies (as many as you want), protein (3-4 oz), and (unless you are on a carb restricting diet) bread (the darker the better- and I don't mean burnt. :p ) at every meal.
Yeah, the building muscle part may contribute too. Very likely, in fact. :)
Good luck every one.

littlesara: my current weight is 135. I have been stuck at this for months now!
My goals this weekend are to go to the gym both days and no eating out! If only I could break my starbucks addiction...
Have a great weekend!

Here's my update. I am currently at 178.
Littlesara, congrats on your Daughter's graduation! I have a daughter graduating next year. She is bugging me now about Senior pictures, her graduation dress, her prom dress, her "Holiday dinner" dress. All I see are dollar signs and we haven't even made it to college, yet!

it's Sunday evening in my neck of the woods. How is everyone? How was your weekend? mine went well, lots of activity (family, etc) and i'm tired now. Did everybody get a chance to post your stats? I saw some ladies here earlier. Keep up the good work. Remember, tomorrow (or if you are already in tomorrow in your neck of the woods), is another day, a fresh start, start of a brand new week! We can do this!! :)
So I was away for the weekend at my brother and SIL's house. SIL owns a
bakery and makes yummy treats so I had some setbacks. Plus I realize
how difficult it is to maintain the diet being around SIX kids. So to
that end, I am up today at 115.6 lbs (from mid 114 late last week) but
I know it will go down tomorrow or later this week again. Off to have
some sushi for lunch!
