Any shorties wanting to lose 10lbs with me?

I am having a good day too so far. I'm getting to that dreaded time of the day though- the time between lunch and dinner. I really need to focus so I can stay on track today. Reading other people's posts is helping...
My worst time of day is when my son goes to bed.....but i am not going to eat after he is in bed. I agree reading other peoples post helps me too....
I get the feeling from the posts, that we are all serious and are going to make this work. Hooray for all of us, Monday we will all be happy. Had a good workout this morning, and am doing good on the calorie end of it today.
Hey what calorie deficit are you all aiming for?
I have been sticking to the 500 mark, with a calorie intake of 1200 a day. I know at this rate I should lose 1 lb a week. I'm thinking about going for a larger deficit, which means I would have to workout much longer. I shouldn't eat less calories, because under 1200 is not a healthy way to lose.
Should I stay with the 500, or try for a larger deficit?
I would appreciate your thoughts and advice on this.
That's so interesting you bring up the deficit aim, nursescarels. I was thinking about this issue this morning. I am also sticking to the 500 mark but I realized that's only 1 lb a week and I would like to lose more - but I want to be healthy.
My plan so far is to increase exercise on the days I have time but I know I won't have that extra time every day. I don't know what to do on the days I can't workout extra because you aren't suppose to go under 1200 cals a day.
Anyway, that's the best I've come up with so far. If anyone else has more suggestions that would be great!
amberjoy I have decided that I will aim for 500 deficit on days I don't workout and 750 on days that I do. I know it won't make to much of a difference, but it is a start. I think if I try for more than that right now, I will have to workout way to much and get discouraged.
Anyone have an opinion on this? Sound like a good plan?

Hi! I would like to join too. I want to lose at least 10 pounds asap. I'm 22 and my height is 5'0 with a small frame I think. Weight as of today is 114.6. My goal is to get down to 105 as quickly as I can and maybe even lower than that. Thanks and good luck everybody! =)
I'm at 121, down from 145, and my goal is 100-105 lbs. I would like to be 105 by July 12th as I am going to be a bridesmaid in a friend's wedding. We can do it! :-)
yesterday I finally had a good day! I think it was definitely because of all of the inspiration from the fellow shorties :) Keep it up, everyone!

I didn't actually weigh myself on Monday but I did last friday -119 but I was using a different scale since I was out of town and had a really really bad weekend (birthday and wedding). I don't have high hopes for this week.

I've been shooting for 1000 cal. a day. Is this really too low? I haven't really tried to figure out my deficit.

Last week I was at 119, but after the weekend, it went back up again!
Okay, I'm 4'11, currently 106 trying to reach 90. I'm in.
Yesterday I had a session with a Personal Trainer at my gym. He basically told me that I needed to work much harder if I was going to get into my posh frock for Royal Ascot on 21st July. He said that I had to ramp up the weights on all the machines and totally get into the cardio work I hate so much.
Anyway, today I did it. Started with 5 mins on the cross trainer (level 5) to warm up.
Then I did:
2 x 15 reps on the squat machine at 8 kg
2 x 15 reps on the upper back machine at 15 kg
2 x 15 reps on the chest press machine at 15 kg
2 x 15 reps on the lat pull-down machine at 25 kg
2 x 15 reps on lat raises with 3 kg in each hand
10 minutes doing intervals on the running machine - lower level at 4.3 upper level at 6.6
and finally, 2000 metres on the rowing machine done in 9:59.6 minutes which just about killed me!
I also haven't drunk any alcohol, despite going out to the theatre on Wednesday, since I over did it last Saturday.
If my weigh-in is rubbish on Monday I think I might cry. ;)

Monday 26th May weigh in:
I don't know if you've seen the post I made yesterday, but strange things are afoot with me. Somehow or other over the years I have lost 2 inches in height. I was 5 ft 3 now I'm 5ft 1. It's all a bit odd. Anyway, what this means is that everything is now wrong.
My goal weight has had to change quite drastically to be "Ideal" for my height, and my current BMI has gone up loads!
If it's OK with all of you I'd like to stay in this group even though I now have double the amount to lose. I figure I'll do it 10 or so pounds at a time so the task doesn't seem quite so daunting. Anyway, on with the weigh in:
Starting Weight: 126 lbs
Last Weigh-in : 122.6 lbs
Goal Weight: 112 lbs (ultimately 103 lbs)
Current Weight: 125.4 lbs.
As you can see, things are not going well :(
Monday morning weigh-in:

This Week: scale was flashing between 115 and 116 so maybe I've lost 0.5lbs :)

Ok so that looks bad but its really isn't as bad as it seems at least thats what i'm going to tell myself.
I wieght myself everyday ... today im having a fat day ... midweek i broke the 118lb's barrier by slipping down to 117.8lbs and im pretty sure the current wieght is just a reflection of salted popcorn i had on saturday night and all the nasty sodium in that.
So im not gonna get to hung up ... honest im not..... really see me not getting hung up on the 0.2lb HEAVIER i am this week???
Haha seriosuly though i did my measurements on saturday and ive lost pretty much an inch off everything in the last 4 weeks so im not gonna stress too much .. lifes to short blaaa blaaa blaaaa ... besides im begining to think my body likes being this wieght.
