Shorty from MI

Quote  |  Reply

Hi Everyone, I was browsing on the internet and found this site. I joined right away. I have a personal trainer/friend of the family who is always telling me that if I want to lose weight, I should write down what I eat every day and measure it out. Well..I happen to love food, and lets just say that method won't work for me. However, I do think its helpful to record what I eat every day and get a thorough break-down of what I'm eating. SO, that's what I'm starting to do!

I'm getting Married May 9, 2009 so I'm desperate to look fit. I'm short, and I gain weight easy. I eat pretty healthy I think, I don't eat  really fattening foods all of the time. I'm 23, 5'2, 128lbs. I run 4 miles every other day and am starting weight training twice a week (It gets expensive for me if I do it more). I never usually have a partner, and I need some guidance. I gave up my dream of being stick thin because I know it'll never happen, so my goal is to lose a few pounds and tone up.

Anyway just thought I should introduce myself. Love the name of the group, I think I'll fit in well. Any comments or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks! :)

Hey girl,

I to am a shorty in MI, I'm 4'11" & am 113 down from 126 I also gain weight very easy so I'm with you.

It is nice to meet you & feel free to message me &/or add me as a buddy. Gratz on the wedding & good luck with your toaning.

Hey Tiki,

Another short girl in MI here. I'm a little over 5 feet and started at 124.5 lbs. Now down to 116.5 lbs and hopefully still losing! Don't worry, I completely understand how it feels to be short and feel like "stick thin" isn't obtainable! Don't worry though I know we can get thinner it's not hopeless!  What's your goal weight? I have a medium frame so I don't want to aim too low (under 100), I think I would just look weird. But around 110 lbs seems comfortable.

Just keep going for how you feel and how your clothes fit, because that will tell you more than a scale! I weigh myself too much sometimes and it can get confusing and disappointing!

If you're impatient like me, send me a message if you need a pick-me-up!
