30 Day Shred question

Quote  |  Reply

Hi,

I purchased the 30 day shred a week and a half ago, i did level 1 for about a week, felt like it was time to move on to level 2... problem is, i really don't feel like level 2 is as effective for me as level 1!! not sure if this is normal or if other people have felt this way... I don't like the fact that a lot of the moves she has you do involves you supporting yourself on your hands as i find my hands are always slipping... and i also feel like a regular push up is more effective than a 'walk out pushup" or jump rope/butt kicks are more effective then the jumping you do while on your hands.. so i'm back to level 1... haven't even looked at level 3 yet but i hope its not a lot of the same as level 2..

just wanted to get an idea of other people's experiences w/ the program. thanks!!

I personally feel all of the levels are pretty hard/easy...Jillian has a way of adding some difficult ones in each level. Just when I think one of the levels are easier..she throws in a loop of a workout and I'm like "sh**!" Haha.

I have this complaint though with The Biggest Loser Cardio Max dvd....Bob's first level one workout on that dvd is by FAR the toughest workout on that and it's supposed to be the easiest. Then you move on to Jillian which is level 2 and you think you're in for a tough one, but then realize it's not as exerting as Bob's first one..then on to level 3....with Kim and oh my god that one is too damn easy..I scratched my head the first time doing the dvd thinking "what the hell?" I thought it's supposed to get harder not easier. lmao.

As for The Biggest Loser Power Sculpt dvd..that whole dvd isn't bad...and it actually DOES get harder with each level which I was skeptical about after doing the cardio one.

I guess it all depends where your fitness is and what moves you find to be harder then others. Perhaps the moves in level one you havent accomplished as well as the ones in level 2. Who knows.

Level 3 is a doozy it is fairly hard you work a lot more with your weights even through the cardio.

I have done all 3 levels,  maybe your body has "gotten used to" the basic movements, I still think this video is highly effective... level 2 is acutally my favorite. I feel like it works my thighs and arms better.

And after a month of this workout I will tell you ... I have a six pack, I still have a little skin hanging but you can see the defenition.

Hmm.  I don't really like doing plank moves either.  I don't find the circuit 3 ab plank twists very effective.  Try level 3.  At first it was ridiculously hard!  There is only one plank move so you may like that.  In level 3 she incorporates strength with the cardio.  Try doing some jumping jacks with heavy weights and then tell me how you feel!

Yikes! Sounds really hard. I will give it a try this weekend, i'm glad there's only 1 plank move!!

Thanks all.
