Recipe Ingredients for Shrimp Parmesan

8 oz spaghetti, whole wheat
16 oz shrimp
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp garlic salt
1 large egg
20 oz tomato sauce
3/4 cups mushrooms
2 garlic cloves
1/4 cup onions, chopped
1/4 cup bell peppers, chopped
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Shrimp Parmesan

  1. Cook spaghetti according to directions on package.

  2. In large saucepan, add tomato sauce, vegetables and seasoning. Cook over medium-high heat.

  3. In medium bowl, mix cheese, Italian seasoning and garlic salt.

  4. Break egg into separate bowl and beat lightly.

  5. Coat shrimp in egg, then with cheese mixture.

  6. Lightly coat sheet pan with olive oil and place shrimp evenly on it.

  7. Place under broiler until cheese lightly browns. Turn shrimp and repeat.

  8. Drain spaghetti and divide among four plates. Top with tomato sauce, then shrimp. Top with either Parmesan or Mozzarella cheese, if desired.
