Sick & binging! OmyWord.

Quote  |  Reply

So, many people don't feel like eating when they are sick, but I'm sick with a headache and sore throat since yesterday and I've been eating junk like it's going out of style-----I suppose I could justify it if I had been working out, but I've skipped two days now and I am more then certain I've gone over my calories yesterday, and today.....and its still only around lunch time today.

Would you guys suck up the sickness, and go to the gym or just try to ignore the two days of binging and try to just get better before jumping onto the gym wagon again? Undecided I think I'm stressing about it so muh it's making me want to eat more.....but I don't want to be sick for very much longer!!! garbage.

Well, lets see, are you craving salty things?  Gurgle with warm salt water.... its an old fashioned cureall for a soar throat that works. When ever I do it,I feel better the next day!

Also- when you work out, you stimulate your lymohnodes which will promote healing.  I do not advocate working out if you are sick sick like have the flu, bronchitus, fever etc. but if you just have a head ache and sore throat go to the gym but tone it down, walk at a 3.1-4.0 pace and get your lymphnodes stimulated and only do it for 20 min.take a nap, gargle with salt water and drink LOTS OF WATER..... headaches are sometimes caused by dehydration.... and forgive yourself for the last few days.... it happens to all of us, put it behind you and move on and get back to feeling better....

also each time you go to eat some of that junk ask yourself why am I doing this do i REALLY want it and put it down or better yet.... throw it out and get rid of it why keep it in the house!  :-)  Hope you feel better soon!

Thanks for your input rebanutt....I think I do have a fever as well, so I thought maybe I'd just take the day off. I have trouble working out without pushing myself too much and I think I might just make it worse. I'm kinda all or nothing..........Thank you for the salt water tip as well.
