This is horrible! I'm just really frustrated 'cause I was sick for 2 weeks of stage 1, and now I'm only half way through stage 2 and I've been sick for the last week! I had the worst cold so there was no way I could do anything and now my body is still recovering. I am just frustrated 'cause I had started trying to run on my off days since my weight just keeps going up, even though I was eating at a deficit. I had tried eating maintanance calories, and then I gained over 5 pounds, so now I've cut about 400 cals a day and I'm still gaining weight!! What is going on!!! Thanks for letting me vent!!
Sorry to hear you are not feeling well again! That kinda sucks! Do you think you weren't fully recovered when you started up again? I think it may be good to let your body heal and make sure you are getting all the nutrients you need. Hope you are feeling a lilttle better!
Get Well soon, I don't want to pass you up. Do you take any daily vitamins for your immune system, or any of thos lil Emergenc-E packets? I take emergenc-e whenever someone even coughs too close to me lol or if I feel a lil twinge of somthing coming on.
You must have had that awful cold that a lot of people here had too - just kept hanging around. Total bummer. Are you getting lots of sleep, that should help with recovering and also I read in on the NY Times web site helps with weight loss.
Probably you're just retaining water from being sick and if you're starting up the program again, your muscles will hang onto water even more so, so I expect that's what you're seeing with your weight.
Also, I take echinacea when I'm feeling cold-y. You can't take it all the time but it seems to help speed up recovery.
Oh I really feel for you. I used to get sick every time I would start a new diet. Really sick. This time around I didn't. I so hope you feel better. Maybe now isn't the time to start dramatic changes!!! It is frustrating I know but try not to let it get you down. My heart goes out to you!
The Echinacea is really very good when you are sick and chicken soup has been proven to help as well.
Thanks you guys! I think the fact that I always forget to take vitamins probably is part of the problem. I am going to try Echinacea 'cause it's going on a week now and I'm deffinitely better but still hanging on. I teach so I'm with kids all day every day which keeps those germs around constantly! I am going to start again tomorrow so, here we go again!! Good advice about the sleep too, I've heard it's supposed to help you lose weight as well!
