What is there to do with your significant other in chilly times of nyc?
Looking, for activites, places to eat, things to see. Thank you
The amazing gorilla habitat at the Bronx zoo is my husband's favorite anytime of year. And a walk around the zoo is a great way to get some exercise. Same for the botanical gardens which currently has an unusual exhibit of chrysanthemums.
To burn up some serious calories , you can't beat ice skating. I haven't been in a while, but I think Skyrink is still in NYC or a train ride up to Rye, in Westchester to the rink at Rye Playland makes a nice day out.
Oh my gosh - so much to do!!! Why not take in any of these great museums: The Met, the Museum of Natural History, the Whitney, MOMA, the Guggenheim, etc. Or head over to Chelsea Piers and play a round of virtual golf, go bowling at one of the most amazing alleys you've ever seen, or climb the rock wall? Bundle up and stroll around Soho, window shopping at all of the boutiques and galleries, stopping for a snack at Dean & Deluca. Rent a bike and ride through central park. Catch a subway to brooklyn and spend an afternoon at the aquarium. Visit the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. See a broadway or off-broadway show. Go down to the Lower East Side, find a club, and go dancing. Take a dance class or exercise together (you can often find these in Time Out New York). Snuggle up in a jazz club. Find something to read out loud to each other among the miles of books at the Strand.
Read out loud to each other -that is a cool idea 1
We just had a month long Edgar Allen Poe celebration in my town for the whole month of October.
