No Signs?
My husband & I have been TTC. Last month was the first time that we actually tried during my fertile week. I know that it's almost impossible to get pregnant the first time you really start trying. However I was wondering if it's possible to be pregnant yet have absolutly no symptoms? I am due for my period on the 12th or 14th & so far the only indication that it's coming is that I'm a bit tearful/moody and I have gas.
I should also mention that I had cancer & did chemo from September '07 through February '08. So the likliness of my getting pregnant so soon or at all really worries me. Any answers would be helpful.
I became pregnant with my second on our first try. It had also been about 2 weeks since I took my last birth control pill. You won't always have pregnancy symptoms, especially since it would be so early in your pregnancy.
I'm sorry but I don't have any personal experience with getting pregnancy after cancer and chemo.
Good luck and let us know!
Alot of people have said to me that if I am pregnant that you know you're pregnant. That you can feel that you're pregnant. Was this the case with both you're pregnancies?
My first pregnancy wasn't planned. I was on birth control pills and not having a period. It took a while to suspect I was pregnant. As in, I was at the end of the first trimester before I took a pregnancy test and into the second trimester before I got in to see a doctor.
I got positive pregnancy tests three days before my period was supposed to start. I didn't honestly think I was pregnant but since we had used an ovulation test and had sex while I was ovulating, I figured I should test. I didn't really feel pregnant until about 4-6 weeks. That's when the morning sickness/aversions started.
Some people seem to "know" (especially in hindsight). But in my experience, early signs are a lot like PMS (cramps, tender breasts, fatigue, moodiness), if you have them at all. Some people don't.
And you can get pregnant any time - it's not really impossible, just lucky.
Take a test if you are late is really the only advice I have for you. Good luck and enjoy trying! ![]()
And, if you've never been pregnant, how can you know what it feels like? Pregnancy symptoms are almost identical to PMS/menstrual symptoms. You could always take a test over the weekend but it may not be accurate at this point in your cycle. It takes a while for a fertalized egg to implant in the wall of the uterus. Until the egg implants, you won't produce hGC and won't have pregnancy symptoms.
Thank you so much guys! I feel alot more positive that I could be pregnant even if I don't actually have any signs. I expect my period to be here on the 12th or 14th so I guess I'll find out then!
I'm sooo glad it's not just me! My husband and I are trying, and my period is due the 10th. I was pregnant twice, but miscarried around 12 weeks because of an autoimmune disease. We quit trying for 7 years ( while I recovered form my illness), and just enjoyed each others company.
We did the "eggy" test too. My breasts are tender, but that often happens before my period, and I am cramping, but again that happens sometimes before too. Now it's just wait and see...the days are going by soooo slow! I hope you are pregnant! I hope I am too!
Klash.. If I had tender breasts I would be somewhat hopeful! So far the only symptoms I have are that my period is going to come =( I've been a bit crampy, had some gas & of course I got a pimple. All things that happen everytime I'm about to get my period. =(
I'll pray x100,000 that you're pregnant & you pray x100,000 that I'm pregnant too!
I hope you have had a positive test! I have been thinking of you. It turns out I WAS pregnant. I miscarried last week. So sometimes the little to no signs are acurate if you are intune to your body and it's ways. We will keep trying, and I hope you have better luck than me!!
