What are some Silly/Stupid things your pets do?
My indoor cat has managed to get herself stuck 30ft high in a tree. How she even got outside I don't know. Rather than comming down, she's been up there since 8 this morning - nearly 7 hours - meowing and clinging onto dear life. I put a can of tuna down so hopefully she gets a move on or I might have to make the dreaded phone call to the fire department "Excuse me, I have a cat stuck in my tree..". I'm sure that would go over splendidly well. :P
With this in mind, what are some silly/stupid/somewhat frustrating things that your pets do or have done in the past?
My dog also has a good habit of walking face first into things. And he's endlessly happy about it.
My sister's dog, Stryker, gets his tongue stuck to things. He'll be absently licking something, and his tongue will adhere. Rather than lifting his head, he remains in the same position, just kind of wiggling his stuck tongue against whatever textile he happened to be licking - the arm of the couch, your pants leg, whatever. Sometimes it's the floor.
He will also wait outside the bathroom door while you're bathing. You know he's there because his tongue appears under the door and swipes around.
I don't think he's all there.
My rooommate's cat "Buttons" is the most adorable cat. She's really affectionate and is a lot more like a dog than a cat. She's got one little issue though. She whines when she's hungry. Unless she's asleep.
So we have to feed her at night because if we don't she keeps us up all night with her whining. If she's awake, right now she's asleep still, and has been all day as far as I know, she'll let you know she's hungry by meowing. Over and over and over. You can here her out in the hall when she's home alone. She meows all night long until you give her food. Sometimes it starts at 3 in the afternoon. The squirt bottle is my best friends those days. She also makes it extremly difficult to study during exam period, since I want to stay at my computer and she wants to stay in my lap. It's cute though. Water squirtingly cute...
My cat waits for me outside the door when I'm showering too. Except instead of a tongue its a paw swiping furiously for absolutely no reason. And thats assuming I manage to close the door before she gets into the bathroom. Then its her paw and her nearly falling into the shower to join me from behind the curtain!
My cat is really quiet though, which I'm lucky for. She does this little purr-meow when she wants food and suddenly is very affectionate with me (her stomache is the way to her heart)
Not looking where she is going, and as a result is always walking/running into lamp posts, fences, bushes, then looks at me like it's my fault :D
My female dog is has this thing she only does when I have friends over. She takes this toy bunny and humps the living daylights out of it right in front of everyone as if to say "this is MY HOUSE and step out of line and this could be YOU". My friends every so sensitively call it the rape bunny
My cat drags a stuffed 8 inch bunny around with him since he has been a kitten. Even takes it through the pet door and also to bed! Hope we never loose it.
My cat, Circe, is insanely curious about the bathroom. If anyone goes in there she will run in and jump up on to the tub. Then sit on the tub ledge in between the two shower curtains and observe everything you do. It's like her favorite past time.
My other cat, Calypso, loves our rabbit Odin. They hang out together all the time - they even cuddle with each other. It's very cute.
I have a 13 week old welsh corgi puppy. They're a herding breed, and he's tried to herd both my parents' beagle and my neighbor's cat... neither of whom stands for it.

I had a friend who's cat did that.. with a giant stuffed frog. Its very alarming. o__o
@plasma - my puppy is a aussie/collie mix, so I can definately relate. Its funny to watch them zig zag about though, right?
One time Whiskey dove face first behind a hot water tank, then released she was stuck. It took us several hours to get her out of there. She was notorious for being very adventurous but not so skilled with problem solving.
My cat, Bubba, comes to tell me he's used the litter box. He sometimes yowls and runs in circles until I scoop. He's very fastidious about his commode which must be filled with Arm & Hammer Super Scoop, and no other. It does make him the ideal apartment cat though.
When I used to live with my parents who had two other dogs, my Pomeranian Delilah used to bury every treat she got so the other dogs couldn't get them, and then later she'd know exactly where they were and dig them up.
Well, she loved to get ice cubes, and every time we gave her one, she would bury it. She would get really upset when she went to dig it up a few hours later and realized it wasn't there anymore!
My cats have no concept of personal space, and they'll barge in on me when I'm in the bathroom (neveryoumind, I shut the door -- they can open it o.O) and do one of two things:
a) Curl up into a blissful-kitty-fetal-position into my trousers, which are somewhere around my ankles and nicely warmed up for their lounging pleasure or:
b) Try to crawl into my lap.
-.-
we have 2 indoor cats, they cute :P
they both used to bite at and climb up the christmas tree. then sleep on top of the nativity scene as if they were baby jesus :)
know what time we are expected home from school and wait by the door
start bothering us if we stay up to late and almost try to draw us to bed so as they can sleep on top of us!
my cat also opens the bathroom door and meows at me
plays with the button on our shirts and strings off our bags etc. and they're suppose to be full grown adults :P
yeah, they adorable
our cat Orange is female and very vocal.. i mean Very Vocal.. we wil in an apartment next to a bar well we are in pub street so lets say we are surrounded by bars.. anyway, we will be sitting at the bar having a conversation .. then once its approaching late (10 pm) she will sit on the floor next to us, looking at us and miaou.. it goes on and on until we decide its time to go home eheh
At home, she will constantly whine until she get her milky sticks (which are for dogs but she doesnt like the cat ones)... open the fridge, get the pack out, open it.. and the only way to shut her up is to give her a milky stick... then its peace
But not for long, if you want to start doing some cleaning she will be folowing me around miaouwing until i sit down to pet her..
We watch tv and she will come on my belly face to face and well... miaou or looks like she is trying to tell me her day... itsvery fun.. yop im the cat lady of siem reap or the cat whisperer...
The funniest is when she is all calm and then a split second later she is in this energetic, crazy mood where she will be running up and down, left and right, run and climb all the way up the mosquito net... and well at one point the runs into the door HILAROUS.. oh it doesnt stop her ... hop she goes again...
Time for bed, yes she whines tellign us its time to go to bed, she will come first to cuddle under the blanket with me,licking my face then after a while she will go sleep at the end of the bed at my partner's feet...
My cat acts like a dog. If my hand comes out from under the blankets at night, he shoves his head under it for some petting. Of course, when I'm awake and want to pet him, he won't come near me.
My cat has a thing for anything yellow. He has brought in numerous yellow tennis balls, a pair of yellow rollled up socks (no idea where from) and a large bread baguette (sort of yellow coloured) - all through the cat flap.
I also came home to a red, black and white woodpecker laid out for me on the living room floor. He has also brought a couple of bats home for me too - 1 was still alive so I took it to the vets to make sure it was OK.
Where do I start? Ozzy follows me to the bus stop each and every morning Mon-Fri and meets me there when I get home. God forbid I get a lift home or don't go straight home, as I have to walk to the bus stop to get him and then have him trot back round to the house at my heels like a little dog. The neighbours are greatly amused. He chases raindrops and often headbutts the window in doing so, he climbs out first floor windows and gets himself stuck, he chases dogs, he tries to make friends with cars, he chases buses occassionally....and this is only what I know of that he gets upto....
Kit is a princess and demands the finest, she has to sleep under covers with her head on the pillow, we now have a spare bedroom just for her in order to get some sleep just 'us'!
Penne is a bathroom stalker. She sits in the sink and watches you on the toilet/in the shower and will claw at the carpet and howl if you keep her locked out. Not worth it really so for peace...you always have company in our bathroom.
My cat is still in the tree. Its been 24 hours. =/ If my father can't get her down (he's taller) then tomorrow I actually will have to call the fire dept. to come get her. I'm sure them and the papers will find it hilarious "Local Fire Dept Saves Kitten From Tree". And here I thought stuff like that only happened in feel-good movies!
My cat meows unless I talk to her while I'm in the shower.. or pet her (even though I'm wet). She loves to play with her water bowl too. Most of the times I refill it is because its splashed all over the floor.
