So simple dessert
Take one large dried mango slice (30 cals per piece)
Add two spoonfuls of Cool Whip Lite. (20 calories)
Total = 50
Viola.
I have a KILLER sweet tooth, and I am trying to kick the craving. I always end up wasting like 400 calories a day on sweets! So this was a great way to curb it. (I decided fruit was allowed, but no chocolate!!)
The mango is really sweet and thick so it satisfies and I love Cool Whip!! Anyone else tried this with other dried fruits?
I've just done the strawberries with fat-free Cool Whip. 15 cals for 2 tbsps for that whip cream and yet still so good.
I'll have to try the mangos.
I haven't tried that with dried fruit but I have with fresh fruit. Also fresh mango is really good lightly grilled or broiled with a sprinkle of cinnamon and a tiny bit of honey/agave nectar drizzled on top.![]()
Everybody who knows me knows how I avoid processed foods. However, I confess to a Cool Whip craving now and again. Especially when I don't feel like making this
Whipped Topping (works best if the water is ice cold and the bowl and beater is cold too. I do it with a hand held stick blender.
