I'm wondering which activity level I should choose as mine on cc to figure out how much I should be eating. I've chosen light activity but I'm not sure if it's right or not. I do have a job where I sit a lot, but I walk home just about everyday, it's only half a mile though. And I work out(elliptical, usually) generally a half-hour to hour 5 days out of the week and I do little things around the apartment and run the usual errands. Would this be considered light or moderate?
What I do is set it to the lowest, the sedentary setting. Then I add everything in, 8 hours at work, 2 hours driving, and my workouts, if I clean or do laundry or go shopping. I'd rather underestimate than over estimate and use more cals than CC says than less!
To me, it sounds kind of inbetween.
What is the difference in calories between putting you at light, and moderate? I would split the difference.
How can I make walking fun?
You have to find a way to make exercise fun or else you won't do it. If you walk indoors on a treadmill, I recommend moving outdoors into the fresh air... Read more
