Single Cookie Recipe

Quote  |  Reply

I use a shot glass to measure this one so I make one cookie at a time. Than I dont have a lot of sweets just around because I dont make a whole batch, and everytime I have one, it's always fresh baked.

1 part Flour
1 part Sugar
1 part Butter
2 part Oats (Old Fashioned work best)

Combine all ingredients until it resembles dough and separate on a greased cookie sheet into whatever size you'd like. Bake at 350 degrees, time is relative to the size of the cookies you make, but usually around 15-20 minutes.

For any chocoholics out there, toss in a little cocoa powder for a chocolate variation. Or throw in some crushed nuts for protein, I always play with recipes to make them my own.

It may not exactly be health food, but the beauty of this recipe is that with the part system you can make as much or as little as you want.

Gluten free?
I did a similar thing with
1 tbsp PB
1 tbsp splenda
Pinch of egg replacer (get a 1/4tsp and 1/4 fill it)

Mix, split into 3 mini's (they spread and bubble) and bake at 180 until brown. Settle until cool (or they fall apart)
These are very touchy tho
I'm going to try the recipe above tomorrow!!!

wish I'd seen this an hr ago.

I live alone and often want a few bites of something and don't trust myself to keep sweets on hand.

can't wait to try it.

thanks
I find it kind of odd that I've never considered making a single cookie haha. it seems like it should be common sense. thanks for posting!
ha!  that's funny.  kind of a waste of electricity, though.  i don't think i'll be heating my oven to 350 to cook one cookie.

well--okay--i haven't made cookies in at least fifteen years, so i guess it's no surprise that i'm not going to make one now.
Oh I have a toaster oven. Like a little grill. Maybe you could grill it and turn it over. Hahah, prolly too hot

i do this occasionally too! thought I was the only one out there this weird!

I use whole wheat flour, splenda & a bit of splenda brown sugar blend for baking & oatmeal, a ton of cinnamon plus a little baking powder & low fat country crock or low fat butter or just use sugar free apple sauce & i add tiny bit of beaten egg-- if I feel crazy- i add some raisins! the splenda is hard to bake with- it's very drying so you might add a bit of water & be sure to cut down on baking time! it takes only a few minutes!

this does work for the crazy calorie counter! other thing is you can mix a batch of this oatmeal stuff up for like 2 dozen cookies and keep it sealed in a zip bag- bake only a couple after dinner or later on & you are good to go for a week at very low cals with the splenda & apple sauce or even the little bit of low cal butter/country crock light! also, consider adding in chocolate or strawberry whey protein powder too for interesting flavor- just add in some extra fluid like xtra  applesauce (unsweetened) or water!

lol-- again, i thought i was only crazy one out there! nice to know others are too!

I think I'd do these as a dessert, after roasting something else in the oven, one per person.  Fresh baked cookies are delightful.

These were pretty good... satisfied my cravings anyway.  I added peanut butter & salt to taste.  i liked the ones i pan fried instead of baked better though.  it's funny, they burnt slightly (because you can't really flip it), but it was a pleasant nutty flavor.  quite delicious.  the baked ones taset just like an oatmeal cookie!
