Single moms?

Just wondered how many single moms are out there.

My son's learning a lot about nutrition from me. He's happy with my changes...actually, he's happy that I am happy!

8 years ago today i was in labor with my daughter..... the never ending labor that started the day after xmas...3 hours from now they said C section.  i said give me an hour... 5 hours from now my daughter was born.

we work hard on being healthy but goodness its harder than it looks!  its hard to model good behavior, to discuss health without being obsessive about weight and cals, to counteract tv and ads....

 i thought about a lot of things when i got preg about how i would raise my child-- trying to live healthy didnt really come into play i guess.  i was raised on dinners ready when daddy got home from work.... here, mommy gets home from work or school and is just exhausted.  

tho it appears i have a burgeoning veggie on my hands LOL....

I'm with you drea. My son is 15 and we've been through a lot. When his dad died of a heart attack 3 years ago I had 2 thoughts: I can't handle anymore AND enough is enough. I started getting control of things I never thought were in me.

Now I feel like a rock. :  ) We grow w/our kids, don't we?
