My sisters birthday CAKE!!

Quote  |  Reply
My sisters birthday is today and she picked probably the most unhealthy cake I could imagine its like 5Lbs. Its from SAMS CLUB its called a German Chocolate dessert cake. It has no calories or nutritional facts. It just shows whats in the cake. I dont think im gonna eat a piece but i really wanna eat a piece I can add 600 calories to my day if its a little piece but i dont know .

don't eat the cake
just take a bite and be satisfied. make yourself be satisfied. that is what this journey is all about. moderation and self control. why do you have to eat a slice? because thats what you've always done? who says that a serving size is a slice. why can't it be just a bite?
Haha yeah. my sister started dieting with me for a little time. i started noticing she stopped about a few days after she started shes just not commited into it.
Your right i will just take a little bite. Thank you!
Just take three small bites and count each bite as 50 calories, so 150 calories total. It's been proven that after three bites we don't enjoy the food as much.

this is probably close to that cake

Don't be selfish. Eat a piece of the damn cake. I can't think of a worse way to ruin your sister's birthday than to make her feel bad for choosing the cake she wanted.

I know this comes way after the fact, but there is NOTHING wrong with having a slice of cake IMHO. Next time, make it a small slice, eat it slowly, actually take time to enjoy what it tastes like, savor each bite, count those calories, 3 ounces = about 325 calories, add it into your daily calorie count.

That?s it. No worries.

I think going around denying yourself all the time is eventually going to lead to ?giving up? or ? a binge? we all have events in life, things that involve high calorie foods?I?ve heard some people say eventually you?ll only want the healthy stuff?and maybe that?s true for some people but I love food, I just wanta develop a new healthy relationship with it, not put a million and one things on my black list. I think as long as you do it rarely, and in proportion---sweets are perfectly fine. The key is to understand a potion size, and how it fits into your daily total.

brighteyes, that is a great post, and I totally agree with you!

I say eat a slice. It doesn't have to be an elefant sized portion,...just a slice. I'll make your sis feel good and you will feel good too.

You can count today as your cheating day,..we all need a cheating day to eat a piece of cake or some pancakes, no?
