Hello Everyone!

I'd like to invite you to an inspiring and motivational thread where debates are welcome, as long as we agree to disagree and end it in peace not with everyone in pieces.

God gave us these bodies as gift's, let's inspire each other to treat them as they should be treated!

God bless-

Lolo

The Healthy Body/Mind/Spirit Clean Living Challenge

The points are as follows:

  • 1 Point for time in the Word
  • 1 Point for every 8 oz of water
  • 2 Points for every fruit/veggie serving (a serving of fruit is either 1 small piece of fruit or 1/2 cup, a serving of vegetables is 1/2 cup except for leafy veggies like lettuce, and that is 1 cup per serving~ See MyPyramid.gov if really, really interested or look at posts #936 and #939)
  • 1 Point for every 15 minutes of exercise (intentional exercise)
  • 1 Point for every pound lost
  • 1 Point for every inch lost
Under you name each week I will update the points to reflect the current week and the total (word - water - fruit/veg - exercise)

Loooooooooove it....here's a quote from my book, it's a gooder;

"Faith is not making religious sounding noises in the daytime. It is asking your inmost self questions at night-and getting up and going to work." Mary Jean Irion, 'Yes World' (my book is "Fresh brewed life", but she mentions allot of other good ones I want to read after this, another is "Why beauty matters")

I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean not making God talk, just not noisy God talk. And it's nice to hear her take on what faith is.

Good for you Lolo, brave and cool, lets pray for this one to prosper and flourish!
very funny joke BTW.

Oh, that's too bad, I thought it was rather hilarious!
Ahh... Diligence!  I just purchased two copies of Fresh Brewed Life.  Waiting for delivery from Amazon.
I got your PM, thanks, your forgiveness potential must be bigger than mine....but then you didn't have a (cured) mental illness that was just soulfully exposed to the whole group used against you. You certainly got hit with rocks though.

OK, sorry lolo. Moving on now. Hey check out what my name says when you scan it!
I love that (the quote over your name)

Yesterday on my Christian rock station (Air 1) the Verse of the Day was

Those who trust their own insight are foolish, but anyone who walks in wisdom is safe. Proverbs 28:26 NLT and the Devotional was We always think that we know best, but God tells us that if we trust in ourselves and rely on our ability, we will fail. Trust in God, He will never fail you or let you down.

I am trying to take this to heart because as my husband will attest, I think that I know it all LOL.
Did you notice that I took out my personal note regading my own experience on that thread? I didn't feel that all illnesses where being given a fair shake.
I'm waiting on my copy of that book from Amazon too!!!

Nice to see you Diligence...my sweet friend.
I'd throw my Adult ADD up there with those mental illnesses. If I don't take my medication, I'm a wreck. I sleep for hours on end. No housework, cooking or laundry. It's really awful.

Oh and serious mental brain fuzz. The medication seems to help with outbursts too. Until we have Paradise on earth, we'll improvise with medication. We have medications because our Father gave some folks the wisdom to develop them and properly diagnose us.

Chubby
Really? Usually people with a bad problem that way have absoulutely NO humility...some how I don't get that from you. You know as a mother we have a certain amount of skill different than a man and having to make all of those choices and decisions as a mother we darn well need it!! So if you have learned allot about life in general including child rearing and house hold or life issues, I have found, in discussions with my husband...I am usually right. ;) Ok. not always, he, he, but if I know he is making a bad choice I'm learning to just "give him enough rope" so to speak, then he knows he should have listened.

This really urks me. When our husbands don't look at us as their "partner" in life, as far as being able to help them with all of our skills, including smarts. My husband is very smart, successful and better than I in so many ways, but for example with discernment; many times I have warned him I didn't think something was a good idea, he did it we suffered. But he learned. I guess that's what our marriage has to be like for now, but I talk to him about it, and he sees it too. I say I AM YOUR HAND MAIDEN, YOUR HELPER, PARTNER...stop competing with me! Together we accomplish more!

Lolo this has nothing to do with your stuff, just got on a weird husband topic (I mean the topic is weird not the husband, whew, better clarify!)
Hey Chubbs!!

I finally googled Joel and Victoria to see who they were and found their website. I know those folks, they are great! I never get to see them on TV, though. Lately I have been watching Dr. Gene Scott's widow Pastor Melissa Scott, she is wild!!! I have only happened upon it when I turn on the tube at midnight. Last night she was talking about a true man and what that really means.
OH SASS!

You must have been writing that at the same time as me...that was to lolo, BTW lolo I couldn't open your PM mail cause I created a new account, just felt like my old name had been tainted or something. What personal thing did you take out from before and why again? Maybe you don't want to repeat it...just curious.

Sass, I had no idea, or maybe you did mention that...it kind of sounds familiar from way back, did you? Hmmm...well yea I so agree...I RAN to the doctor when my symptoms came back, and I know for sure that the Lord is controlling this with the help of meds, it is like 1000% better than how sick I was all catatonic and stuff, actually bipolar people are mostly harmful to themselves, both verbal and physical, but I haven't even come close to that in years now. Quite harmless to another human being, I so totally cringe if my husband tries to horseplay too rough or any thing, can't watch anything past pg13, you know the drill. There is no way I will ever test out going off them, I know the brutal breakdown is far to difficult for everyone involved, which is why I would most likely just leave...OK, enough melancholy, happy, happy, happy day!!!!!!!!!!!!
Responding to Post#10

Dili-o- I hear ya sister! Hubby and I have ego problems and I am trying to be the obedient wifey but I am soooooo strong willed, really only when it comes to giving in to what he says. I tend to think that I am smarter when it comes to alot of things but I know that he much more intelligent in alot of things (mainly business stuff whereas I am hands on stuff). I am not saying that I am dumb, I am only saying that he has started a number of businesses and knows how to handle people and money and knows more than I'll ever know about computers.
I had talked about being Bipolar II and since I am not on meds right now because of breastfeeding I over think things waaaaaaaaaaaaaay too much and like you just stated in your post actually bipolar people are mostly harmful to themselves, both verbal and physical, that's me. I could never even think about hurting someone I love (when I wrote that I heard a voice saying then love yourself) but I constantly hurt myself and when my hubby calls me on it I tend to get a sharp tongue and I watch myself being evil to him.

Amen!

Well sister is Christ,

Good afternoon to you all.  By the way, lolo, I am the one who sends the Joel and Victoria messages.  I find him so encouraging, yet he preaches the word.   He tells it as it is, yet you never feel condemned.

I could go on and on about my mouth with my Hubby.  I have such a hard time restraining myself from him.  I really need to work harder at that.

I just bought a jumb rope and am going to go try it out.  I'll be lucky if I can last 5 mins even though I do very well at cardio for 45 mins.  It looks very hard.  Need to get some extra exercise in as I'm going to a pizza party with root beer floats.  I'm bringing a brocoli salad and rice krispies, trying to get my veggies in.

I need to get this straight, is Dilio - Kaddy.  And who is Sassy?  Help me please.

Deb
Yes I know and I totally love when you post his message!

My hubby went out and bought us a book called "What Every Man Wants in a Woman" and you flip it over and it's "What Every Woman Wants in a Man" by John and Diane Hagee. I just haven't read it yet but he promises to read the other side.

I am soooo craving  pizza and a root beer float!!!!!!!!!!
HA!  Dili-o!  You had us fooled.  I didn't recognize you in your new digs!
diligence is Kaddy... Sassy-C is Chubbs (not a new name for her though... Kaddy gave her that nick-name a while back).
Tracker,

Thank you for clearing that up for me.  Have to sew a hole in a pillow than going out to try my jump rope, actually I think I am trying to put it off.
