My butt fits into size 8 jeans, and not stretch I must add. At my biggest I was 250ish and a 22/24. Today I'm 5'8" 163#s and in a single digit pant size for the first time I can remember, and after 2 kids. I still have 10-15 to go but the ego soars when I can wear some smalls but mostly medium, especially since xl was snug a year ago.

Congratulations...good job!
That's awesome!  Such a great feeling and I'm envious :-)
wow, that's great! You have accomplished a lot. Good to hear a success story from someone who started out at the same as I did.
That is fantastic!  YEAH for Size 8 pants!!!
wow, thats awesome. . .. Whats wierd to me is this-I'm 5'4'', 138 lbs, and I fit into size 10/11 jeans. . .what the heck ):
Congrats :)
How do you say congratulations, when your pants have said it better then any of us can?
I'm small framed with narrow hips. I'm pretty much built like a 14 year old boy but with boobs.
Good job.  that is my next size.. Maybe after xmas Ill be there..
Jenesch-

Congrats! That's amazing!! I'm starting out where you were (I'm 1in. shorter than you). Any pointers you can send my way I would love and appreciate greatly!
Congrats, what an accomplishment! You must feel great! It is wonderful to go from xl to a medium.

It's interesting how we each carry our weight so differently. I'm also 5'8 and about the same weight, but having a large frame (and a bit wide in the hips) am still in a size 11/12 (almost 10!).
size 8, yipeeeee!
WOW!!! I must see before and after pics!! What an accomplishment!!
hey alibuch

I work out about 1 1/2 hrs per day and eat every three hours taking in 2-300 calories for snacks and a bit more for meals. This way you never get hungry and your metabolism stays roarin. I love to eat and I am not to hard on myself about my eating, I eat pretty much whatever I want just making sure to keep it in my 1800 cal limit. If I deprive I will eventually binge and hard. Keeping the food log keeps me honest and brought me awareness on how many calories are in things. I wake up each morning and put on my workout clothes, I do not allow myself to do ANYTHING before I do it for I am very easily destracted and will never get to it otherwise. I tell myself I will work out everyday that way if I really just don't feel like it or something early arrises I don't feel bad about skipping, but I tend to work out 6 days a week. I have a ton of workout DVD's, the firm, windsor pilates, yoga, crunch, and Jillian Michaels from the biggest loser. Variety and the challenge of routines keeps me motivated, I also treat myself to a new DVD whenever I find one that peaks my interest. Rotation is the spice of life. Good luck, if you what to chat my e-mail is in my profile.

I'll be adding some before and after pics to my profile tomorrow.
congrats! cant wait tilim down to single digits! youre doing fabulously!
Woohoo, that's great! Congrats!
WTG!!! :)  what an awesome feeling that is. I, too, am 5'8" and at 147lbs (last 7 lbs to go for my ultimate goal) I'm into size 8's and in certain jeans manufacturers, size 6's.. but i've got hips and some junk in my trunk, when I was at 163 I fit into size 10/11's.

You're an inspiration!!  Oh, by the way.. how many pleateaus have you hit along the way.. I'm stuck in one right now lol.

I can't tell you how inspiring reading that post was, jenesch.  I JUST started dieting this week and discovered this fantastic website by accident.  I am 5' 8" and 219.  I've become so depressed over my weight I could hardly look at myself in the mirror anymore.  Reading your post and your advice has given me an extra bit of cheer.  Congratulations!!!!
hey frogkissin, Cute name by the way, Up until I found this sight the plateaus were more about giving up then a stalling scale. Since CC I've been either really luckly or dedicated, I'm not sure which, and haven't had plateaus or fluctuations that lasted for more then a few days. When I hit a plateau I work out that much harder.
leslieannroberts, you just about made me cry with your reply. I have a stack of pictures that I hate or have cropped so I am bearly visible. I know what it is like to hate what you see but you are so lucky you found cc from the begining. I came to cc at 183 in July and wish I had found it years ago. Use the resources here, they are a life saver. The community is always here for you, the good and the bad days. Feel free to get my e-mail from my profile I'd love to chat more. Good luck and please fill in your profile so I can add you to my friends.

p.s. Thanks to everyone for your congrats! I posted my befor and after pics and will soon have even thinner after pics.
