I've got good childbearing hips! And good childfeeding boobies! I will never be size 0, could probably be a 2 if I tried really hard though. (ETA: and cut my bottom off)

The smallest size I could ever possibly be is a 6 and that size for me would be unmaintainable. I absolutely rock a size 8 at 150 lbs. at 5'9".

don't know where you're from, but over seas the American 0 is actually a size 4.  I don't mean for this to alarm you and for you to do something STUPID like try and go into the negatives (whatever that means...) but it just goes to show you that size and thinness are all RELATIVE. you should want to look GOOD not thin.  you should want to be HEALTHY not skinny.

for me, whether i lose 40 pounds or gain 40 pounds i'm a size 8. i can fit into a size 6 at my thinnest, but even then it just doesn't FIT right.  my body IS a size 8. and i'm totally OK with that. because no matter what, i'm confident wearing it and people look at me and go, DAMN.  maybe you should change your endeavors?  you might get down to that size 0 and find out it just plain doesn't FIT your body.

i checked your other post. you are 5'6" and 150 lbs.

i am pretty close to your size. i am 5' 8" and 155 lbs. i was a size zero for about 2 weeks in like 5th grade. i have been a 9 most of my life (at 135 lbs) now i am an 11 -13. i might have been a size 7 when i was 130 lbs.

do you really think a size zero is realistic?

how about a 5 or a 7?

i know i dont want to be that skinny, i just want to be a 9 again.

i am at max confidence in a size 9 at 145 lbs.

just read the other posts... i think you should shoot for a 6. i'm also 5'6".  my 'happy happy joy joy' weight, if you will, is 145. i get thinner than that, but my body likes that weight.

i also agree with others; this should be in the eating disorder section. some other people with ED's might come into this forum expecting an escape, and this post of vain desires could trigger something for someone else.

Im 5'4 and even at 115 pounds I fit into a size 5/6 or 7. My hips will never allow me to fit into a size 0 no matter what. Just forget about the number of your pants. Its not healthy and it honestly doesn't matter. Focus on being healthy...both mentally and physically. Do whats best for you

Something i'd like to share. Kendeisha if you could please read this, I think you might change your mind...

Yeah. That may mean cutting out the tag and calling it your zero! j/k

Wow, you guys make me feel HUGE!  I'm 5'5.5", and at my lowest weight, the bottom of the scale (130 lbs), I could fit into a 10 - sometimes.  And I was beginning to look unhealthy.

Honestly, just work toward health, and don't compare yourself to others or some "size up in the sky".

Wow Devious what a great article!!! Not just for young women, but for all women. I often have been angry at societie's expectation of being slim. However I am just as guilty at judging myself by those same standards and complimenting others on their weight loss instead of looking healthier. While I am not attempting to be super skinny, I am still inflluenced by the media, so sad.

I'm not sure I was ever a 0 I was a 3 once many many years ago and I am only 5 feet tall. at 108 I look like a sick cow, all hips and concave stomach...........not attractive at all.  My husband actually doesnt want me to go under 130 and that is still considered overweight for my height.

Anyway, life is not about a size, it is about being happy and a size cannot make you happy.

I completely agree. I'm 5'3 and 147, i'm aiming for 130 which is the "limit" (if you will) for my height. Even then though, I think i'll be a 4 at the most if i'm lucky and that has me thrilled. A zero for most women is sickly! But all this time i've learnt that numbers don't matter. We obsess with the numbers FAR too much... the only ones with should bother with are the lost inches.

Yikes, like others have mentioned, I don't think it is physically possible.

Many shorter than you at 5'0" to 5'3" can't even get our small frames down to a size 0.

ok from a male perspective ewww if your talking like supermodell skinny thats gross

should prolly listen to these kind folk

and oh and if you want to wear a sive zero i know theres a few stores out there like lane bryant that actualy have a larger sizing table so there ya go a zero and every ones happy

should prolly shoot for healthy

*evil grin*

If I had "a male pelvis", it would be held firmly between my thighs.

:( Why's everyone hatin' on size 0.

I range from a size 0-3 depending on brand...and I don't look too skinny or anything. I'm also fairly short (5'4"). I know my friends that are 5'7" and up could never fit into a size 0! They're all very healthy looking though.

I don't think anyone's saying 0 is necessarily too skinny, just that it is not an appropriate goal for everyone.

 lol buggggyyyy Smile

after reading through countless whats your weight/height posts its obvious that size depends GREATLY on your height. if your 5' tall a size 0 may not be that unrealistic for you, however if your 5'8 getting into a size 0 is pretty ridiculous

Hehe, I was at the mall today and accidently grabbed a size 0 jean. I tried them on.

I fit, but, LITERALLY, the only thing separating my hip bone from the jeans was a thin layer of skin. Plus I had a bit of a muffin top. I'm 5'1", 114 lbs, med frame.

If I was dead set on fitting into those jeans, I would literally be a walking skeleton. Not healthy looking at ALL.

Granted, I still have a little fat in the stomach and thighs, but I call it my "safety fat". x3 I'm really happy where I am now.

Seriously re-evaluate your goal. And if you really want to see what it feels like, go to the mall and try a size 0 on. See if your hips can take it.

Anyone know where I can get that hip surgery?

Cpt, are you a pork chop?  My husband's family are from the Azores.
