i wish i knew...i'm a size 14 or 16 depending on the jeans and i want to be a size 8....hmm i guess i'll just have to wait and see
It depends on A LOT of factors, there's really no accurate answer that you can get for that question.
Ideally you want to be losing no more than 1-2lbs a week... so you can use that to help you determine how long it might take...

I'm an 8 in some things, a 6 in others. I think if I lost another 5 pounds, I'll be a secure size 6. It varies greatly depending on body shape, size, frame, etc.

How much:
My caloric intake varies so much (some days I'll eat around 1100, some days I'll eat up to 2000), but I think it's working well for me because it keeps my metabolism high. I eat quite frequently throughout the day, so what I call "lunch" might be stuff I've eaten over a couple hours.
What I eat:
- Lots of organic foods, nothing processed
- Whole grain breads/pastas
- Lots of fruits and vegetables
- Skim milk and low fat cheese (babybel is awesome)
- Lots of protein (100g on the low end, 150avg, 175g max)
- No fast food
- No soft drinks (diet or non diet)
- Rarely drink alcohol (maybe once every couple months)
- No coffee, lots of green tea
- Lots of water
- Dark chocolate! (I can't deprive myself)

babyd I do drink tea with milk a small amount no alot. I dont do fast foods but love dunkin cofee lol. What is your meals for the am and lunch and dinner. What do you eat more or less. Email me girl.

I'm a 13/14 in juniors, or a 12 in women's (but I generally never like anything but the jeans in the women's sections). I'd really like to get down to a 7/8 but I know that will take a while, and I have very wide hips so I'm not sure it will happen at all. I really just want to look good to me!

Can a guy chime in? I am a 40 in mens pants and between 1xl and 2xl in shirts. I want to get down to 34 in pants and large in shirts.

Depends on where you shop...Im a 9 in Sears and a 6 in Pennys..When I was heavier I was (In 1 day) an 18 jeans in Sears and a 12 capris from Bealls...shrug..size is in the eye of the manufactuer...
Hi, I am a size 14-16. But i still wear the good old 18. I love to have that extra room that is in the wasit and the butt. It took me 3 months to get to a size 14-16. Coming from a size 20-22. I think that is good that i am in the size 14-16 and hopefully one day i will be able to put them 18 in the very back of the closet where them 14-16 came from.
I have no idea what size I am. lol
I haven't tried on pants in a little while, so I'm wearing some old ones I found packed away in my closet, in hopes they'd fit again 'someday'. now it's someday, and some of them are kind of loose.
I'm pretty sure I'm somewhere around 11/12 though.

When I started here in November I was a 12-14 in women's. Now
with plenty of exercise to firm up and a 25 pound weight loss or so I
wear anything from a 5-7 in juniors.
I'm a whole lot smaller, but honestly thought Id have to weigh a lot less to be this size. The trick was not watching the scale , but looking at my clothes because when I started working out I put on a lot of muscle and firmed up and that makes you heavier but leaner. Before when I was thin I was not in shape so I only weighed like 105 pounds when I was this size. I'll take 120 and lean over 100-105 and skinny anyday ;) This means I'll never be a size 1 or 3 again (I'm very petite and short) but I am perfectly fine with that :) I'd be just thrilled and dancing around the room at a healthy looking size 4 :)

I agree with Bethy, size really is in the eyes of the manufacturer! In some jeans I have to go to a size 11/12 in others I can wear a dang size 8.. what the heck! Thank goodness for good old Levi 501's ... my 32w are loose on me now, but because I have the J.Lo. booty thing (which I don't mind too much, I like packin a lil "baby got back" in a firm way), I can't move down a size just yet cuz they won't fit over my hips/butt lol. My goal is to fit back into my 30w again (the size I wore when my hubby & I got married).

I am a size 8/10 and want to be a real size 6. I have to say though... there are a bunch of ppl on here who are a size 0.... no offense but if you're a zero what weight are you trying to lose??
I agree...if you're a size 0 what is there left to loose? I don't mean to offend, but it's a sincere curiosity!
