What size is a 5'7?

I thought it would an interesting thread to see what size everyone wears at 5'7''.  I love those magazines that show different sized on different people, sometimes it is just shocking to see what size a model really is.

I'll start, I am a size 4 (135lbs)

The same thing happened to me this year!!! I was mortified! Could I really have lost half an inch?!? I have vowed to increase my calcium.

As far as sizing goes, I am 5'6.5" and weigh in at 123 and I can fit into a 2, 4, or 6 depending upon the brand. Old Navy is the best for ego boosting because they size theirs bigger. I can fit into a 0 or a 2 there as long as the waist isn't too fitted (baby belly that will never go away).

I am 5'61/2" and weigh 154. I can wear anywhere from a 6 to a 12 depending on the store. I am most commenly an 8 though! (at Target and New York and co.) At American Eagle I am a 12, at Gap I am a 10. Crazy!

lolokaiwahine - lol thats funny - yeah I have NO clue, but I thought I was 5'7'' and it turns out more like 5'6 1/2'' oh well!

I weigh 120, and with sizes these days, I really dont trust that there is one universal size anyway. It all depends. Sometimes I fit into a 0, sometimes 2 or 4.

OMG and just like you Lolo I've always had and always will have a belly pooch :)

I am 5'7" and 167lbs and a size 12.  :)  At 120lbs I was a size 6-8.  Interesting thread.  :)

i'm 5'6 1/2

I was 165lbs. I've been goin to the gym since april, 3 days a week, increased from 30mins to 60mins, 158lbs Now

i used to wear 10-12, now i wear from 8-10 depends, usually Medium/large tops.

im 5'7 and i wear a size 5 or 7....128 pounds

I'm 5'7, weigh 116lbs, and wear a size 10.

 

5'7" around 160.  Size 11, occasionally 13 but that's usually too loose (for pants at least). (junior sizes)

marz, in what world at 5 foot 7 inches and 116 pounds are  you a size 10? Where are you shopping? I am 5 '61/2 " and 154 and am a 8/10. You should be in a 4 I would think.

racegirl at 120 lbs you were size 6-8? really? I have never bought an 8 and probably only bought a size 6 dress once in my life, 4 is even big for me. Thats weird!

fallingstars727 - I went and brought some jeans from Wal Mart and they were a size 8, not sure how correct Wal Mart jeans are, but that's kind of why I got them there cuz I don't plan on staying this weight, so I didn't want to spend loads of money on a new ward drobe, but I haven't been shopping anywhere else, so not sure I could really be like a size 10 or 11 :((  Also when I was around 119 - 125 I wore size 1/2 or 3/4 from stores.  Maybe I just wear my clothes extra tight lol...no they fit, but I can breath still.

ejoy thats what I'm sayin! At that size, its better not to have your clothes hanging off of you, I like my clothes snug too :)

I never thought sizes would be this crazy and across the board.  I think it all depends on bone structure, muscle tone and weight.  I have a small bone structure use to be a size 6, but now that I have been working out and toning more, I am now a 4.

Gap, Banana Republic, and Old Navy have all increased the size of their sizes, if that makes sense.  I can wear a 4/6 in their stuff, whereas I am truly an 8, I think.  It is ridiculous how much different brands differ.

I wear 6's now. Usually 4's at the stores like Old Navy and NY&Co. But in misses departments I fit into a 6. I fit into a 6 at American Eagle also.

I don't even attempt jr's departments anymore... My lower body has shape to it so I stopped that a year or so ago (I'm 22)

wow i am 5 foot 7, near 5f8, 125 lbs, and a size 8 or 10....maybe i just prefer my clothes baggy?

5'7, 173lbs and I'm in a size 12.  Interesting that srd1214 mentioned Old Navy increasing the size of their sizes as my size 12 Old Navy pants will just about fall off unless they're tied!  Good to know for when I need an ego boost!
