I'll start, I am a size 4 (135lbs)
(edit: posted twice for whatever reason)
I'm 5'7", 190 lbs, and I wear a 10-12 on top and a 12-14 on the bottom. Back when I was only like 135 lbs I was a 6-8 on top and 8-10 on the bottom :( Ah, the good old days. Hopefully they're coming back again!
5'7 148 i wear an 8
i am 5'7" , weigh 155lbs and usually wear 10/11. At my smallest around 130lbs I think I was a consistent 7. I am a medium build so I could never wear the small sizes ...ever!!
I am 5'7", weigh around 115 to 118...used to work as a photo model but believe me, models are not that skinny, it is just how they appear on magazine pages and thank to photographers, I do look more curvy and taller on the photo and my size is 4. But if I want to wear skinny I could fit in 2, 6 is fine when I want to wear something like pajama ^^;; I am 34-25-35, before having my baby, about two years ago my size was 34-24-34 oh well I got a bit wider waist...
I'm just over 5'7", weigh 138, and wear a size 4 (occasional 6s and 2s).
The diversity here is just fascinating. Some of it is probably frame size, and some is how form-fitting or loose people like to wear their clothes. But I suspect the biggest differences in body size at the same height and weight are due to amount of muscle mass. For instance, I'm now exactly the same size (in terms of my measurements) as I was 23 years ago at age 33 - but I actually weigh about 5 pounds more than I did then, and I think it's because I've been doing strength training for the past 6 years. It makes sense, because a pound of muscle takes up a lot less space than a pound of fat (think about the size of a pound of iron, vs. a pound of feathers).
i wont add to the confusion with mine, had to just skim over the posts after awhile. but i guess the old saying is true, 'size does not matter'
G'day all - an Aussie girl here. I just checked out a conversion chart on line to see what Australian sizes convert to in the US... I am currently wearing a size 16 Australian which is a size 12 in the U.S. and am 195lb at 5'7"...
I used to always find it so wierd that my shorter, plumper friends would be in the same size clothing as me when our bodies were so different!
The hardest thing for me is always finding nice long legged pants as I have long legs and hate pants ending above the ankles!
Oh by the way, in Australia our women's clothing goes down only to a size 8 in the vast majority of stores. THat converts to a size 4 U.S. There is no size that relates to a size 2 or 0 here in Australia - unless you want to shop in the little girls section!
Currently 185 and size 16.
Previously (and hopefully still), I wear a size 12 at 170. Size 8 at 155. Size 6 at 145. Below that, who knows. I never will. LOL! I mostly wear Gap, Levi's, Liz Claiborne, and JCP St. John's Bay when it comes to pants. That's about all that fit. Most pants are too large in the waist for me (by the time I get my thunder thighs and hips covered.)
A lot of this depends on where you carry your weight. Someone who is bottom heavy will wear a larger pants size than someone who is top heavy. And, I'm assuming most people are posting their pants size. It also depends on how toned you are. Muscle weighs more than fat, so a toned 175 will likely wear a size smaller than a 175 that is not toned.
I am 5'8" 153 lbs, and...I -think- I'm a size 8?
I just lost 7 lbs and haven't had a chance to try on new clothes since then, but at 160 lbs I was a borderline 8-10. At my highest, 195 lbs, I was a size 12-14, getting more towards 14.
I'm surprised at a lot of the answers on here. Like, at 130 lbs I'd assume someone would be at the most size 6?
5'2, 131 and I wear a petite misses 4-6.
used to wear juniors 7 but I cannot do low rise anymore!! To much muffin top. Actually, it kinda looks like a CAKE TOP!!
pant size has a lot to do with hips and where the weight is.

Muscle doesn't weigh more than fat! one pound of fat weights the same as one pound of muscle....one pound!! Sorry, just got into a huge argument with someone in the office, and I looked it up at the Mayo clinic website. The reason a 175 might wear a smaller size is because she/he is more toned. Not because the muscle weighs less. Muscle cells are more dense, though.

ERm...techinically one pound of feathers weighs the same as one pound of bowling balls. I mean...it's a pound. It's a measure of weight. One pound always is one pound. So of course one pound of muscles weighs exactly the same as one pound of fat. It probably takes a different amount of space though.
And to the OP: I'm 177.7 and 5'7" and I am a size 14. I have a big spare-tire around my middle that keeps me from even thinking about 12s yet. Hopefully that will go away the more weight I lose (started at 200 and wore a 16).
I am 5'7, and currently 155 pounds. I am in a size 10 in pants, medium or large in shirts, and size 8 or 10 in dresses (9/11 in junior sizes).
Since the beginning of 2008, I have been losing weight. I started at 203 pounds, wearing a size 16/18 - and have kept going down. I had told myself that I would be happy once I reached size 10 or 150 pounds, whichever came first, but now that I've surpassed the size 10 mark - but have not yet reached 150 pounds, I have been trying to decide which I'd rather be! LOL! I'm wondering what size I'll be in if I reach 145 pounds. When I was 18 years old, and weighed something like 135 pounds, I was in a size 7/9 in juniors. I'm starting to think that if I get to 145, I'll be in that same size again! How can that happen??!
I have a fairly average (medium) frame, and my weight is distributed pretty evenly. I have a pretty standard "hour-glass" figure.
I've found that size and weight are so not necessarily co-ordinated. I was once 173lbs and a size 16 ( I am 5"7). I lost the weight and put it back on over the last couple years. 5 years later I am 178lbs but a size 12/14 and in much better shape than when i was previously at 173. I got involved with some major excercise last summer, and while my weight held steady for 4 months, I dropped a size and people commented that I looked like I lost 10-15lbs! Replacing fat with muscle is KEY! :-)
Also, to the 5"7-ers who are 130lbs, I think thats amazing and bizarre all at once! I am a medium build, but once I hit 140lbs you can count my ribs and its kinda gross. Too skinny!
I am 5'7, size 14. 193 lbs. Junior size pants I am a size 17. My goal weight is about 150 lbs & hopefully that will bring me down to size 7/8.
