When a serving size is given, which is more accurate? Example, yesterday I had Total cereal with cranberrys. The serving size was 3/4 cup, or 52 g. I used my diet scale for the 52 g, but it was way more than what 3/4 of a cup would be. Which is closer?

IIRC, weight is a much more accurate way to measure food.

Always go by weight, like meww said, it is much more accurate.  I can't tell you how many times I have counted out something or measured something and the weight was way different then what I thought it would be.
I go by weight as well.  I also use a nice digital scale. It is more accurate.
