Size M shirt/ 34 waist *Jumps for joy!*

Quote  |  Reply

This is just incredible: After years of 2 and 3x sized shirts, I am today able to comfortably wear size M shirts. This in an incredible milestone for me, so much so that I almost cried when I realized how perfectly the M sized shirt fits.

My waist is also down to 34 from about 44

This would not have happened without the support from the cc community and the wonderful resources available here.

One last thing, as cliche' and trite as it may sound, if I can do it, anyone can!

All the best!

Congrats!!!! :D

I can't wait until I am there :)

Congratulations!  I won't ever be able to wear mediums, because my shoulders are too broad, but it's nice to be able to wear 2x without having my fat rolls show through.  Eventually, I hope to be able to wear XLs and show off my sexy, muscular shape.  :D

Good for you.  I worked my way from XL down to S/M.  I know that exact feeling, and I still get it sometimes when I'm out shopping and I instinctively reach for larger sizes, and I have to reset my brain and pick up the correct size.  It's a good feeling.

I bought a ton of size XL shirts when I finally made it to that size 'cause I was so excited. So now I have a closet-full of worthless, nearly new shirts.

oh I feel your pain.  It took me about 2 years to get from XL to S/M and many an item of clothing got worn for about 3 months before it no longer fit.  I recently moved and I must have gotten rid of about 6 garbage bags full of clothes.  And now I hardly have any, lol.

Well done mortalmonkey.  What a great reward for you.  You have worked very hard, and you deserve your success.  Congrats xx

As a beginning dieter, it's great to hear your success story! Congrats and thanks for the post!

really nice job - way to persevere.  i think it's great that you're also measuring your progress by something other than just the numbers on the scale.  congratulations and here's to more success.

Congratulations, mortalmonkey!  You are an inspiration to me!

Is that the sound of a cash register I hear, ringing up an Italian suit?  Wink

Congratulations Mortalmonkey!  Being able to wear a "M" size is a really big deal.  It now means that you will be able to go into any store and find something that fits.   Finding 2x and 3x's sometimes is a real problem, not to mention most stores charge more for the larger sizes.

The best thing I like about being smaller is not having to depend on a belt to hold up your pants because your waist is larger than your hips.

You might want to make sure you can take in that expensive suite before you buy it.   :)   It sounds like you are on a roll.

I know what you mean about having near new cloths that don't fit.  That's the price of being successful. I gave my old and interim cloths to charity.   There were bags and bags of cloths.   O'well it gives me an excuse to go shopping.

congratulations!!!

I checked out the pics on your profile - the difference is amazing!!!  congrats and thanks for the inspiration.

Congratulations, mortalmonkey! Way to go!

Patricia

Congrats!  Turning into a hottie!   : )

Congratulations to you!!!  After years of yo yo dieting and crash diets, I believe I have finally made that "lifestyle change" that will get me to my goal.  Only 100 more pounds to go!!! :) You are an inspiration to us all!Laughing

Just out of curiosity, what is considered a normal waist size for a female? I'm guessing it changes depending on whether your build is small, med, or large...but does anyone know if there are ranges or anything?

Congratulations, mortalmonkey! That's great work! :)
