Skin elasticity
Hey there 40 somethings.
Anyone have any insight into when women would lose skin elasticity? So if we lose 100# we don't end up with better looking healthy bodies - we end up with a healthy body in a too large skin sack?
Someone tolf me that it was in the mid-late 40's, but meopause made it really kick in.
I'm a slave to creaming my skin now with coco-butter and tother over-the-counter things. Perhaps not doing a thing therapeautically, but it makes me feel better!

Wish I had some cure. Sadly, I don't. I kept up with the creams, exercise, and calorie counting and lost around 136 pounds. I look older because I no longer have any fat in my face. And my boobs, stomach, butt and inner thighs all have loose saggy skin. I'm been told that if I continue the strength training, some of it might get better. But, honesty at this point, I can't stand my body. I'm healthier, which is a plus and I'll never go back. But it is very hard to deal with. I'm actually thinking of surgery to remove it all. Every body is different though, so perhaps you'll fare better.
