Also doing stationary bike on high effort for 30 mins can help tone them.

That sounds kinda odd... lol. Try lunges and you can even do them while carrying weights, you'll feel the burn!

i have no idea how to loose weight on my thinghs and its realy peeing me off because my thighs are wayy to big in proportion to the rest of my body. ugh i hate it soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much

I heard that if you do 20 squats a minute for 5 minutes a day it should work, I don't know if it is true but I'm going to try it.

But if you have fat thighs this might make it worse. might end up with big fat muscley thighs lol

you could look for a program that focuses on thighs and do that...they even have these 10-minute workouts to do if you don't have a lot of time. it's quite nice =]

I strongly suggest aerobic exercises, such as running/jogging and vigorous cycling. Although it builds up on muscle, it does (at the same time) burn fat. Although my thighs are still big, I've honestly seen a considerate amount of improvement in the last couple of months.

As for lunges and squats, personally I'm not a big fan of them, simply because they kill my knees (sometimes it's almost like I can feel them tear). Try skii-sits. They are hard, painful and horribly difficult to maintain, but like everything, you start small.

 I find that  running or bikeriding will help you tighten and burn fat around you hips and thighs.( Although you are gonna have to let muscle build up, and that takes some time, strong muscle is really essential for burning fat.)

two ways I slimmed down my thighs are from jogging and squats(you dont even need weights) but my problem is I have too much inner thigh fat, and that makes me look like a pear shape even though im not. anyone know how to get rid of inner thigh fat ?

I've read that "spot reducing" is a myth. I'ts impossible to lose weight JUST in your theighs. The best way to lose weight anywhere and everywhere, is to lower your calorie intake, and do lots of cardio. Do 30-60 mins a day. Squats, lunges, and all that will def. help tone your legs, but will not shed fat. Muscle does help with the metabolism thing, though.

I wanted skinnier thighs but my personal trainer set me up for a toning workout for it.
the toning eats the fat but gains muscle , so won't my thighs just look bulky if i get all muscley on them ?:S

I Have been on the volleyball team since beginning of middle school, and was even playing in elementary after school program. BUT it has actually come back to haunt me. High School started it all. Our couch made us do squats, lunges, and just playing volleyball you have to squat enough to have one finger touching the ground at all times (coachs rule to make sure youre "down and ready"), and my thighs were huge and muscular! I stopped playing once i graduated. Too many shoulder problems to continue in college, and my legs still have that muscle (from almost 2 years ago). I'm sure there is more fat and muscle than just pure muscle. BUT my thighs are seriously like stuck this size.

 

Any one know good thigh work out techniques i can do at home?? Without going to a gym?? Thanks and good luckk!!!

Ok there a few awsome weighs to strengthen your thighs and lose the flab. Ok so from my mom i got my strong legs, but i also got her LARGE legs.

Now being heavy doen't help but I can out kick every one on my swim team and its nice to know that when people make fun of me if my leg jiggles a bit.

THere are these machines at the gym, call hip aductors and hip abductors. I'm not sure if the spelling or the name is right but basically for one of them you set it to a weight (mines 55 lbs) and then you press your legs tightly together and push the weights outwards. that strengthens you out thigh. then you go to the next machine, and you set the weight (mine again is 55) and then you pull you legs as far apart as you can and press the weigh inwards. This inward press is espially good for girls who have legs that jiggle or their jeans are tight in between their legs.

I've been doing this for a few weeks and i am seeing amazing results, almost no more jiggle!

 

o btw, a good workout for this, do the abductors 1 for 15 reps then do the adductors for 15 reos abd switch back and forth 3 times
