Skinny Fat girls????

Quote  |  Reply
I was an athlete in high school and so were these 2 friends of mine (they are twins). I joined the army after school and instead of getting into better shape I GAINED 20 lbs! Ive been up and down with my weight ever since...not these friends of mine...they are models and since high school, they have gotten smaller. They go out to clubs 3 times a week and after the club, go to one of two places Krystals for chili cheese fries or this greasy diner called Landmark. Mind you that these post club meals are at 3:30 - 4:00 AM. I know that they work out on a regular but they've also admitted to not working out as much as they used to or not doing very much cardio. They guys we hang out with call them the fat skinny girls because they eat so much but yet are still so small. They are 5'3 like me and have sort of an athletic build like myself (im a little more muscular) they dont have the tall stick thin "model" body type that you may be thinking. Our body types are some what similar...my thing is how do they manage to stay so petite even while partying 3 days a week consuming lots of alcohol and eating fast food? Back in high school i could eat whatever whenever but I know that I wasnt eating as much  junk and that activities kept me slim but now i feel as though i have to be super strict on myself in order to keep myself at a descent size...what gives?

And people who say "I can eat anything I want" really don't want to eat much so that's why they can say that.

That totally used to be me. I could eat SO much, barely excercise and never gain an ounce. I would seriously put down some super nachos at least once a week.

Then...I got a little older. And WHAM! those bad habits caught up to me.

If I had it to do over again, I would've started forming healthy habits a long long time ago, so I wouldn't be cursing myself on a daily basis now.

Those girls, they'll learn. Sooner or later.

i just had an entire batch of brownies that my friend made for me...jeez i have no resistance, i swear she wants me to get fat....but i don't excersize that much i don't want the food to catch up to me in the long run....should i just stop eating all these junk food right now cold turkey?
Rubester -

You shouldn't stop cold turkey.  You'll end up feeling deprived and eating a ton of unhealthy food again at some point.  Better to remember that these things are foods to eat in small amounts when possible.  Also, think about if something is worth it or not.  If you friend made you your favorite brownie receipe?  Worth a brownie (save the rest for later/to share).  Someone at work buys chips ahoy or other processed food cookies for everyone?  Meh, save the treat for when it's worth it.
If those girls are going out to dance club till 4am (assuming they are dancing)  They are probably burning off at least 100million calories a time...justifying all the late night greasy foods/alcohol.  Probably why they dont gain any weight.  They are probably really toned up too.  The last time I pulled off a 4am stay at a dance club, I was sore for 4 days afterwards.   My friends and I discussed the fact that people who go clubbing regularly often get "ripped" from all the dancing! (plus im sure 90% of the people there were on some type of halucinogenic drug) thus giving them even more energy to burn....   Alcohol is a huge toxin in the body but then again, it makes people do crazy things... like dancing.   They will eventually learn they are harming themselves. As far as the guys teasing about skinny fat girls... piss on them! Im sure they are just jelouse that a girl can probably outeat them, and still look good doing it. LOL

I used to could eat anything I wanted, but it eventually caught back up to me.

Will I lose weight if I eat the same food over and over?
