Skyr: 0 fat, 17 grams of protein per 6 oz serv.
I want it...can't find it.This is an amazing Icelandic yogurt I discover surfing (virtually!). I have called many stores and they say they can't get it on the west coast (where I live) but they sell it on the east coast. Any advise regarding obtaining? Any body try this? What do you think of the taste?

I think I bought it at Mothers Market. It had really weird after taste, just not worth it. At least to me.
How crazy I just had my first cup of skyr yogurt today, got it at Whole foods, wanted to try it, didnt think it was too much different than Greek yogurt, but I enjoyed it. It was a bit pricey at $2 a cup but curiosity got me.
I would recommend giving it a try and not sure if you have a Whole foods near you but they do carry it there, I also got a another variety of Icelandic yogurt to try called Figis same concept
At $2 per cup, I can think of a lot cheaper ways to get 17 grams of protein..but I am endlessly curious and I will try it if I can find it in the Great White North..maybe it's cheaper here...we are a little closer to Iceland...lol...
Greek strained yogurt has the same stuff. I eat Fage yogurt that I get from Trader Joe's. A two-cup container has only 240 calories, 40 grams of protein, and NO fat! It's amazing stuff. I add honey and fruit to it. At Trader Joe's they also have flavors of greek yogurt like blueberry and pomegranate. Give it a try and see how you like it.
not sure about cali, but I've had it from Whole Foods before here in Boston. I LOVE it, but I don't go to WF very often bc trader joes is much closer :) its almost like a dessert, i think the strawberry is best!
