So sleepy!
I am trying to give up caffeine and am super tired right now. This paper is just too boring and I just ate lunch. Both of which are good sedatives.
What are your favorite ways to wake yourself up without caffeine?
Mine: annoying hubby, youtube, splashing cold water on my face(least favorite option)
Smiling. That is one of the few things that works. That and dancing.
eating something crunchy
slapping my face
singing really loud
2 minutes of jumping jacks will often help. ( I usually say jumping jacks when I go to the bathroom, to which amythest girl will say "gross".
)
Going for a walk outside is a good idea, too.
Reading something funn that actually makes you laugh out loud, or sharing jokes with someone.
Wreck my bike and skid on the pavement. I'm always really awake after I do that. If somebody starts talking to me about something that really interests me I'll wake up quick, but really, how often does that happen in the morning?
Besides that I love my energy drinks, I don't care what anybody says. :P

Really loud music works for me...so my ipod...happy happy songs :)
- Jumping jacks sound like a good idea. It will get your blood flowing!
- Force yourself to take a 10 minute walk.
- If you're stuck at a computer, sit with good posture and drink lots of water ( I hear both are energizing when you're in an energy slump!)
- Eat foods high in B vitamins (my favorite is hummus with grape tomatoes and cucumbers)
- Take a 20 minute power nap, if you're the type who can wake up after 20 minutes (I would sleep for 3 hours!)
- Take a shower and get all dolled up - looking good always makes me feel like I want to go out and do something!

Why not sleep? You know you want to! Mmmm sleep. But it can be risky stuff! You go to bed at like 1pm for a quick nap..and it ends up you waking up at 11pm wide awake all night!!!!

I am a very picky sleeper. If I could fall asleep at my desk, I totally would! I have considered bringing in a sleeping bag so I can try to sleep under my desk..just haven't worked up the nerve yet!
A few more hours and I will be done with day 2 of no caffeine!! Yay!!!
I will certainly try all the mentioned methods to stay awake. By the end of the week I will be smiling and slapping myself in the face while I listen to really loud music, sing at the top of my lungs, and do jumping jacks all around campus. Sounds like a plan. Thanks guys!!!!!
Usually when I eat a nice sized snack or some green tea - that wakes me up... or some ice cold seltzer water flavored with lime - mmm!
