Slendertone belt, anyone tried it??

I was just wondering if any of you have tried this Slendertone belt that they have been advertising on TV, and I found it on HSN.com on a payment plan.  Either way, I am going to try it and let you all know if I get results, but I wanted to know if any of you have tried it.  From what I understand, it seems like some type of TENS unit, that helps tone muscles.

Um, I'm almost 100% positive there was either some kind of lawsuit over those or some show like 20/20 did an investigation and showed that it's quackery. Regardless, I would say DON'T DO IT! Save your money cause there is NO WAY IN HELL that that thing works! 

I agree, if they worked I think 90% of us would have one by now. But by all means get one if your into the type of pain brought on by electric shocking your muscles.

From what i have heard, They do work. They do tone muscle. HOWEVER, they do not burn fat. So, if you have a layer of fat on top of your muscle, you won't see the effect of the toned muscle. The muscle would be toned underneath the fat. Also people that have used it said, if you have alot of fat on top the muscle, the electrical pulses won't be as effective. Id say DON'T buy it. I was going to get one, but changed my mind. Basically it will work if you are really slim at the moment, and only need to tone muscle.

Thanks for the input, I think I will wait if I want to get one of those.  I heard it worked too, but didn't know if any of you had tried it.  Thanks again!

save your $$$. how about exercise? it works great. :)

It will stimulate your muscles to contract, but since they aren't working against any resistance you won't burn many calories or build them very much.  To get results you need to move your body and use its own weight at the very least to give you some resistance.  You'll get better results for going for a good, brisk walk :-)

I have been using one for about a year and it absolutely works. and the more weight I lose the more results I can see- instead of being left with the saggy empty skin on my belly it is relatively firm- and you increase the strength of the contractions- it isn't painful and it is as effective a sit ups- just without the back and neck strain.

no no try www.thecontour.com  i just ordered this and i am impressed. if your not currently active in the gym then why buy it? i recommend this if you are currently active, and i had everyone in my house try it on so they can feel the stimulation even brought it to work today and had my neighbor try it on and she was a skeptic and now the whole office is talking,

i'm feeling my abs contrast and the intensity feels so powerful its not like the belts that came out when we were growing up this is more modern and like i said im really impressed if you order pls send me an email and let me know what you think....

no where in the ads does it say that this thing will burn your fat- it does say with proper diet and exercise it will help tone you- no one is selling miracles. 

If you have any more money to toss away, you can toss it my way. 

is it really tossing it away if it works and you feel good about it? I don't drink and I don't smoke- and so the money that would have been spent on those vices has gone towards a flatter tummy- sorry if you don't think this stuff works- have you tried it? or are you just generally negative on having a little help?

 The only thing impressive about www.thecontour.com was the price!  Yikes!  $14.95 for trial use, then 4 payments of 49.95!!  Again, I will accept all monies anyone wants to toss away.  I'll even take a check.

I use the slendertone it was not that expensive- especially on ebay.

i always thought they were gimmicky but im ready to give it a go. cant exercise at the moment and really need to tone up, so guess ill try it. can i do my bum and thighs while i watch tv
