SLim Fast DIet success so far.
any one ever try the Slim Fast? I been On a strict calorie intake of 1250-1350daily with My slim fast shakes...SO far I have loast 4.3lbs and I been on since sunday. I am posting my weight every friday. Start weight 199lbs looking to loose 60lbs.
anyone have any comments about the slim? SO far its been great for me

Are you losing weight now at 1-2# per week? If so, that is healthy and stick to it. If not then adjust your menu.
Google for Alli diet to see what reviews say like this one. It's much better to diet without pills.
well I read some of the Alli books and spoke to my co-worker who is currently trying the diet
the Alli diet is designed to make you eat healthy, if you eat the right foods (like your suppose to in a diet) and don't have a high intake of fat then you won't have any "accidents" so I figure...slimfast already
has the right intake of Vitamins and stuff, and your already eating portioned sized meals they might just work right together...
any more suggestions about this idea?? pls let me know :)

If you are following a good meal plan with the Slim-Fast, then Alli will give you nothing. You are already keeping your fat content down (but not out! You still need it), and that is the main thing Alli is made to do.
Don't waste your money on Alli. Just use that money to buy a nice set of resistance bands, or a new outfit.
I really enjoy the Slim-Fast diet. I am on a little plateau right now, but I have lost well over 100 pounds with it, and I am still looking forward to having my shakes everyday.
well my trip i had planned in May is cancelled (that put me in a really bad mood)
and needless to say I have not been drinkin my slim fast or going to the gym...whats really going on

if you read my blog in the Motivation under my son's father is the only one who can keep it real.... you can see i have a real motivation or no energy problem. Im always tired, which causes me to slack, I need some energy suggestions is there some kind of safe energy supplement...or what do you do to feel great in the morning and keep that energy flowing all day?
Im really serious I need some energy level advise, Im 23 and i shouldn't feel like this all day everyday i feel like an old person (no offense) but what do you think?

I am an "old person", 70, but not void of energy because I'm eating 1800 cals of balanced nutrition and exercising 3x weekly. Review your meal plan.

I would go with you're not eating enough. Unless I'm at the gym at a ridiculous hour (3am), I feel good after a workout, even a very strenous one.
I drink the optima shakes for breakfast on the go or if I'm low on calories for the day and need a quick boost midday. They're not as rich as the old ones, but I do enough the Creamy Chocolate one. I gagged on the French Vanilla. If you're eating breakfast, or eat too few calories at lunch, then it's probably a good idea. If you're against anything processed, then no.
I wouldn't advise the slim fast diet. The calorie count it gave me was way too low (1000 calories), and their website was bad for me. What's about 1500 calories here was 3200 there. Considering most things I ate that day were in a box, and I know small bananas don't have 300 calories in them, I wouldn't trust their count.
Well no I am not super tired just feel like I could use more energy or it might be sleep depravation. I love working out, I just hate getting out of the house once I come home from a 9 1/2 hour day at AUTO BODY school [ buffing/painting fixing dents all day ] and then get home and have to go workout and only had 7 hours of sleep the night before so by the time I finally get home an actually take a shower is about 630ish. So I am exhausted.
Actually regular day
Wake up : 5am - get ready for school and eat and go to school [ get there 6:25 ]
Leave school 4:00pm, get home around 4:30, get ready to work out leave 5:00-5:30pm
Get home from workout at 6:30 then shower = 730. Then FINALLY sit down and eat some dinner. Dont go to sleep till about 10.
BLEH.
Well i still have a box full of slimfast shakes and i picked up one this morning a single can that is not part of that box but leftover, i looked at the calories, 190 calories?? and i know was gonna be hungry two hours after so i just put it right back. Instead when i got to work i just made 6 oz of coffee, put some splenda and 1 tbsp of non fat creamer wich is just like 15 cals plus 2cals for coffee and i had a weight watchers english muffin for 100 cals and 1 tbsp of ICBINB on them which is 50. So came out to 167 calories which is less than a can of slimfast. But if it works for u go for it but to me 190 calories for a drink is kinda high cuz i want to eat no more than 1200 calories per day and i know my dinner is higher unfortunately cuz when i get home i gotta cook for my man and my son so thats like 400-600 calories per dinner then i like to have my slow churned ice cream for dessert which is another 120 calories. So by doin what i am doing i have lost since i joined this site on Feb. 19th 2008 in two months 28 lbs. :) not bad huh? My goal is to lose 50 by June but it has slowed down so be happy to lose another 15-20 lbs by June 12th which is my bday.

Energy tips...hmm.
Well, energy comes from the foods we eat. Carbs give you energy, so make sure you are eating some carbs. It is possible that the slimfast thing isn't giving you enough of this. Just make sure they are the good carbs like oats, fruits, whole grains and whole wheat. Alot of people think that carbs are the enemy but they are not. I promise you. I've successfully lost weight eating the right amount of carbs, protein and fat.
Tasha, how much water are you drinking? I noticed a big difference in my energy when I started taking in at least half my body weight each day in water.

I use slimfast, I have, on and off, since April 1st - and it's been good but I get sooo hungry right in the afternoon, between lunch & dinner... then I'd cheat cheat like crazy and then feel like my whole day of being good on SF had gone down the drain.
Now, since beginning of May, I've been realllllly focused on it, seeing my goal as more important to me than my current craving - and to date, I've lost 10.5 lbs; and feel amaaazing!
My usual food day is like this:
Breakfast: 1 Scoop Slimfast & 1 Cup Milk
Snack: 1/2 Grapefruit
Lunch: 1 Scoop Slimfast & 1 Cup Milk
Snack: 1 Serving of Fruit or Veg, and if I'm really munchy, I'll have 2 ricecakes or something light like that.
Dinner: A Big Salad with either 1 serving of egg, or 1 serving of lean meat, and 2 servings of vegetables, and 1 serving of fruit
Dessert: Varies each nite, each nite of the week I have the same... today, being Thursday is my girls nite! So, we're having fruit & yogurt smoothies....

My day never works out to more than 1600 calories... I always have 3 of my big bottles of water, and do 1 hr of exercise each day!

I reallllllllllly recomment Slimfast for someone who is a busy person. Mix your shake, grab a piece of fruit for your snack.... and you're good to be out for 3/4 hours and don't usually get hungry....
