Is anyone doing slim-fast?  I just started this week.  Well, I bought some slim-fast optima shakes.  I have one for breakfast and one for Lunch......I really don't know about the slim-fast program.  I do know, that since I only drink one of these for breakfast and lunch, I am def cutting calories.  One shake is 180 calories and it fills me up........well, most of the time :)

I've tried Slim-fast before, but couldn't stick to it-- I was always so hungry by dinner I like gorged myself :-P .

But Slim-fast is not the best way to lose weight, anyway, because it's not really teaching you to balance your calories by yourself.  It makes you dependent on the shakes to control cals, so basically you have to keep drinking them for life to maintain -_- .
I don't do the whole slim fast diet, but I keep them in the house.  They are perfect for when I don't have time to make something for breakfast or lunch and I have to run out of the house then.  I grab that and some fruit and I'm good to go.  At least I know I'm eating something fairly healthy and will be able to stick to my calorie goals, instead of my old habit of just going through a drive thru.  I wouldn't recommend the whole slim fast diet.  But I think it's nice to supplement your normal diet with them.
Ditto what carebee said... I have them in the house, they are a good grab and go meal! I have never tried any products other than the shakes... I recommend, drinking them cold and through a straw!

i tried them a couple of times, but like meljo said, they have to be cold, and i really didn't like the taste much, either.  but it's good to have something fast and convenient when you just don't have time to fix something or can't even think of what you want. 

i keep a protein bar in my purse now, and always keep a lot of water bottles in the car, so i can have a healthy "snack" any time i need it.  easy to log in, too.  once you have them tagged.  but like with the slimfast, i think they are just supplements.  it's a lot more fun to find really healthy food alternatives and make up your own individualized/balanced diet.

I did slim fast and gained 8 lbs. Those shakes are good.

I eat honny nut cheerios and 1 oz of milk on them for breakfast and that is 125 cal... and I feel fuller
I sometimes have a slimfast for breakfast but I don't do the program. They are just easy to drink on the way to work in the car and cappuccino delight is delicious! I bought some of the granola bars too and those are OK.

I wouldn't be able to have a shake for breakfast and lunch and nothing else - I'm a grazer! I need snacks! (light, healthy snacks, of course :D)
I am not a breakfast person. So i use that as my breakfast and that is it. Now that the doctor is telling me i need more than slim fast. I think i am going to have a slim fast 180cals and a yogurt 80cals =260 calories. Or i can have no slim fast and have 1 toast-70 cals with tablespoon of peanut butter- 95 cals apple sauce sugar free1/2cup 50 cals and a yogurt- 80 cals =295 calories. That slim fast taste good, but it is not enough for me. I feel like binging when dinner time comes.

If you are going to use slimfast add some fruit or yogurt with it. That slim fast alone don't feel up a person that have been know to eat more than 2 plates of food.(ME) Just use them for the protein you need and add something extra.

My father is a small man, and he just love the slim fast for the boost it gives him, and he has that with a oatmeal or a peanut butter sandwich. 62 year old man has better get up and go than me, and i am 28.

He saw my slim fast and renamed them slim jims. He said they make him go go go like a lumber jack. The good thing about it is. I know longer have to buy them. He gets them for us now. My daddy can drink one of them 12 cases on his own in 3 to 4 days, and eat food with them when he has them and he weighs only 147 pounds and 5-9..

He told me they don't feel you up. You have to eat with these bad boys. LOL.

SO add a little more to them.

I am filled up just fine with one slim fast for breakfast.  However, I am not much of a breakfast person.  Just give me my coffee and I am satisfied.  But, the problem with coffee, is I have to have milk or creamer and sugar.....So, that can add up on calories.  When I drink a slim fast for lunch, I am STARVING by the time 4pm rolls around.  So, I snack just a bit and then eat dinner.  I think I might switch off and on with the slim fast.  Use it for breakfast, since it filling to me and only use it for lunch as a substitute, like if im on the run or something.......
That will work. If it feels you up just find for breakfast keep on using it. Just cut the lunch part out and have a real lunch. I sitll can't see how o did this in 1992 when she lost all that weight. No food at all.. Just them slim fast things 3 times a day. I can't do that. But hey. One time a day is good for me. I wish you the best of luck on your diet.

My father used slim fast years ago, and he lost 40 - 50 lbs.  It
took him a while but he started acting a little nuts around then. 
I think he was getting too much sugar and it was sure shooting making
him cranky!   I think they've added protien powder to the shakes
since then.  Maybe if they have enough protien in them they are a
good, quick start for about a week, kinda jump start your diet... but I
agree with the majority, after that you should use them as a meal or
snack sparingly.  JMHO!  
As vitamin drinks go, I prefer Ensure.
slimfast is just YUMMY! especially chocolate! hehe

i WANTED to try that, but i know i wouldn't make it cuz there were strict "rules" i had to follow and eat, rather than doing me own menu within my caloric limit, MUCH EASIER!

don't get me wrong, HARD HARD HARD still, but NOT HARD HARD HARD HARD HARD. haha. i need sleeeep!

On the mornigs when I have to run I do drink slim fast!!  I love it or when I get a major chocolate craving.  However if I use it to substitue a meal I always have a banana and an apple to go with it.  The fiber in them really help me get my fiber intake for the day.
I love slim fast for breakfast. I like the powder that you mix with the skim milk way better than the cans- the powder tastes like regular chocolate milk, but the cans taste thick and not too good-at least to me. It keeps me full for about 4 hours. I tried having it for lunch, but it doesn't keep me full all the way until dinner, so I only have it past breakfast if I am not hungry for a full dinner. The bars that they have are also decent.
