I love your ID - not from TX are you??
What's Slim in 6?
awesome SVC! me and a few other girls kicked off yesterday -- and I know that I'm already feeling it in my thighs & abs. how'd your day one go??
and glam - glad you picked up on the name! ha!! from GA originally (living in Boston now) -- but I go out to TX a few times a year to visit friends. what part are you in?
I just did my workout for today and boy am I feeling it! My thighs especially are quite sore, but at least I know it's working! Tomorrow I'm going to start Ramp It Up which scares me a bit, since I'm already sore from the very simple SIU video. I'll have to get used to the pain. =P
Hi there ladies...I'll join in...I just started the program today and just did the first workout. It seemed so simple, but I was out of breath since I haven't exercised in a while. Wonder how i'll feel tomorrow! lol I recently got the videos from a friend, but I don't have any of the literature that comes with it normally. I searched online, but didn't find anything. Maybe someone would be kind and help me out?
Hi everyone, started ramp it up today. I had a lot of trouble with the abs section. The small of my back was killing me...any advice on if this is normal or not? I thought I might put a pillow under my back fo some added support. Any ideas?
Hi Ladies,
I'd like to get in on this one. I've been looking for some motivation, and maybe being accountable will help...
I've had slim in six for a while now, but haven't used in in over a year...I think I'mm go start right now, and talk to you tomorrow...
Hi again ladies, Well, it's the second for me and I feel good today. I'm not painfully sore, but my muscles feel good, like I've done something with them. I think the 1st video is really good for easing into the routine, not too harsh...god only knows you don't want to ache badly after the 1st day. So, I'm planning on doing the 1st vid again today and then start the 2nd one tomorrow.
Bulma...I know what you mean about the lower back. My lower back is a little sore today and I'm sure it will be worse when I do start the 2nd video. I think your idea of using a small pillow under the lower back might be a good idea. I'm going to try that and let you know how that goes...if you do too, I'd be curious to know how it worked for you as well.
Vi_xon...so, did you start yesterday? I hope so...let's all motivate each other. I have a feeling we will really need that after a week or so to keep going.
Hey ladies, I have to be honest, I did not do the slim in 6 last night. I did pilates earlier in the day, and walked about a mile too, so I was pretty worn out. I'm pretty proud of myself because I did actually break a sweat each of the last 3 days, and that hasn't happened in a long time.
I did start today, and did the video this morning...ok...well most of the video...the first part anyway...OK...so I made it for 20 minutes, and then I crapped out. I am SOOOOOO out of shape that everything aches. I've gotten too used to sitting around at a desk all day, so these last few days have been tough on me.
I have to admit though, even though I'm a little sore and stiff tonight, overall my body is starting to feel better. I'm not stiffening up like I was, and I'm already seeing an improvement in my flexability.
That's my report for the day. I hope you are all doing well, and I hope your days have been successful. I'll be back tomorrow. I'm not sure if I'll do slim in 6 or go swimming tomorrow, but I promise I'll do one or the other.
Thanks for helping me stay accountable!
hey gals!
hope everyone had an awesome weekend -- i managed to get 5 out of my 6 SI6 workouts in this week and OMG! my thighs officially hate me! :)
how did everyone else do?
by the time she got around to the yoga moves @ the end of RIU, I was all set and just tapped out. anyone else run into any problems?
Hey all! I just started the program today; I'm glad it started out easy, and am excited to see where it progresses from here, especially when you mention the yoga moves, Belle.
I really hope that I can stick to the program and really do 6 days a week...a little nervous about such dedication. I've lost 30 pounds in 6 months by counting calories, but have been in the same place for almost a month now and really need to STEP IT UP!!!
Thanks for the motivation. Hopefully this will be a great six weeks!
Ash
What are your results so far?
Just wondering if you guys are talking about these videos??
- DVD 1: Start it Up Workout and Ramp it Up Workout.
- DVD 2: Burn It Up Workout, Slim & Limber and Slim & 6 Pack
I was looking at the set it comes with resistance bands?
If so wondering if it's worth the money? ($60 for the package)
I picked up mine at the pawn shop for 3.00.
I dont have anything with it. I bought the bands at walmart and the mat.
Yes, this works you out.
I've just completed my first week starting with a fast as recommended so I guess it's been now 8 days.
I am pushing my efforts but stopping once I tap out. The benefits have been that I found it psychologically easy to stick to and I have dropped 10 pounds! I definitely do not expect this rate of weight loss to continue, though. My expectations for next week is 2 to 3 pounds.
Keep at it, don't worry if you can't complete it. The dvd stresses to go at your own limits. It's even recommended in the accompanying instruction manual to do start up 2 or 3 weeks as needed. I finally on the 5th day of doing start up finished the entire video!
Hang in there and it's great that you are all taking the initiative to improve your health!
Cheers!
