Start with posting your stats. Example:
a) 164, lose 1 pound per week (14 weeks) to be 150 by June 2nd.
b) Daily Goals: 15 min. of sit-ups, additional exercise, 1500 calories, get enough calcium, take vitamins
Goal: 204.6; lose 2.2lbs per week (16 weeks?) to be 169.4 by June 2nd.
Daily Goals: Eat 1300 calories and exercise for 30-60 minutes.
:D
nevery, is that really a sustainable goal? I'm thinking if you exercise 30-60 minutes, you'd want to eat more than 1300 calories... I may be wrong, you may be able to do that, I don't want to doubt you.
When I use the Calorie-Target tool though, and put you in as light activity level, it says you should eat 1650 each day to reach 170 by July 22nd. If I put in June 2nd as the date, it tells me that its too aggressive of a goal. If I put you as sedentary, it says 1350 per day. I think you should rethink it just a bit, as I don't want this challenge to set people up for disappointment.
I'm going to strive for:
A) Lose 13 pounds by June 1st. I'm 143 now and would love to get down to 130 by the 1st of June.
B) Realistically my calorie intake goal will be 1400 a day and workout 5 days a week for about 60 minutes each time.
My main objective is to cut back on the sweets, deserts especially. I have been smoke free for 3 months now and I don't drink alcohol and I tend to go for the sweets so I really need to try to step away from that.
Im going to:
A) Try to maintain at 114 (maybe drop a few lbs? We shall see how we go!)
B) Intake approx 1500, go to the gym 4 times a week, cut down on sweeties/treats/eating out, start cooking more
Mostly I want make sure I'm getting all my gymness in, and excersizing plenty so I'm more toned and more happy with how I look!
xxxxx
B) Daily Goals: Don't binge, exercise 15-20 minutes a day, and go stricter vegetarian.
A) My starting weight is 200 lbs. So in 16 weeks, by June 2nd, I want to weigh 180 pounds. I don't know exactly what that is per week.![]()
B) Daily goals: Don't drink diet Pepsi (haven't drank it in 4 days!) and remember to take my vitamins.
&nb sp;
A) My starting weight is between 211.5. My goal is to be 175 by June 1st (which is around 2lbs a week)
B) Daily Goals: Zig zag my calories between 1200 & 1800 calories regularly, exercise 4 days a week, drink 10 cups of water/day, up my protein and lower my fat intake!
I'm pretty damn determined!
-Jenn
Alright, I'm going to do this challenge. I wonder how accurate my weigh ins will be just because I don't have a scale in my room..I have to go to the gym (after breakfast on Sat or Sun to weigh, but I'll try!!)
a) My starting weight is 126lbs and my goal weight is to be 118lbs by June 1st. So, yeah I'll have to loose about 8lbs by that time.
b) Daily Goals: Eat a salad or sandwich for lunch/ listen to my body/ drink water before -- during-- and after my meals. Stay at 1400 calories. Exercise for an hour every day. Cut down on sweets.
1. i want to be 140 by summer, or less :D
2. i want to exercise daily, drink lots of water, and eat my fruits & veges
So....Is everyone exercising like they said they would? How is everyone so far??? Noone is posting anything.
I'm doing good so far.....taking my vitamins and drinking lots of water!!! Been doing some crunches to help with my stomach (GRRRRR)!!!
yeah, they are probably all exercising :D i did my stupid planks & crunches & added scissor kicks... i didn't walk today though... too lazy :(
does diet V8 splash count as a fruit? LOL it has 100% vitamin A & C & 20% vitamin E!
wouldn't that count as water, too?
130, goal of losing 1lb/week for 5 weeks.
-Eat 1500-1800 cal/day and exercise 30-60 min 5 days a week.
-Do abs exercises, push ups, and lunges every day that I am not pulling an all nighter studying or working until 10
-Further minimize consumption of preservatives or additives to the point of removing them altogether
-Start being as picky about health of treats as the rest of my diet- vegan organic chocolate only, no dairy in cakes at all
Starting weight: 170
a) I want to lose 10 lbs by June 1st (the day of my high school graduation) ![]()
b) Goals: Don't eat more than 1600 cals/day and don't eat in between meals
wouldn't V8 Splash be a veggie??? I don't know!!! LOL It's not water though. NO CHEATING SNOWFENCE!!!! LMBO
sirk9211---it's good for your metabolism to snack on healthy snacks.
darn it... i thought i could maybe squeeze that in LOL i did pretty good today... still working on my stupid crunches. i have 60 done & i need to do 100. i walked for 60 minutes so far, too. then... onto my plank, lunges, and scissor kicks...
i ate pretty good, too! :D i thought i was gonna eat the whole house this morning, but i didn't. i somehow managed to control myself
snowfence, if you look at the ingredient label for diet V8, its only about 10% juice or something...
Jenlett , I love where you're going with your daily goals. Things like "listen to my body". I think that's a great idea for all of us here... Also, just a thought, you might want to try having the exact same thing for breakfast on the days that you weigh. As in, 16 ox water, 2 cups cereal. or something like that. whatever you pick, make sure its the same so that you can be consistent, if not accurate.
a) Starting weight: 123 lbs. Goal Weight: ~110 or whatever makes me look smashing!
b) Daily goals: eat around 1500-1700 cals/day, get plenty of water, and stay active :)
