I am always the first one finished eating and I need to change that habit.
Answer
Eat slowly to maximize your enjoyment of food and to work with your body’s signals that defend against overeating. If you eat too quickly, you will consume too much food before the mechanism kicks in. There are two ways to practice eating slowly: put down the fork (or finger food) between bites, and take a break during the meal. Putting the fork down involves taking a bite, putting the fork down, chewing and swallowing before doing it again. Taking a break, which you can extend from 30 seconds to 3 minutes, gives you a chance to feel your fullness. Also use the Mindful Eating approach explained at About.com.
