slow metabolism...

For a long time i was restricting/overexercising without even intending to.

well today i just had my RMR tested and the results were that i had a slow metabolism.

My height is 5'7 and my weight is 124-5ish.

 

My numbers were as follows- 1109 calories per day... (thats when my body is at rest)

and then they gave me an average of 330 calories for lifestyle and activity and another 100 calories for exercise..

So my total was around 1500 calories per day....He said this is a slow metabolism... is there anything i can do ab out it?  Will my metabolism go up if i eat more.

Im an x-ray tech so im on my feet quite a bit throughout the day.  I previously was doing about 30 minutes or so on the elliptical, then alternating running/walking for another 30 minutes or so, burning about 400-500 calories.  Im trying to do alittle less b/c i know for a long time i wasn't even eating the amount stated.

n they think u burn 100 for thar 30 mins??? for real? eat 1500 see what happens. my guess is that you'll prob end uplosing on that. you need at least 1800

 

what was your cal intak while undereating. what was the extent of the overexercise and what was your starting weight. are you getting periods?

I really wasn't counting calories but i know i was getting far too little..

like a normal day was clementine for breakfast, apple and oatmeal for lunch and a salad for dinner...  i was burning like 400-500 calories per day at the gym. MY starting weight was 119 i think although a few years ago, my highest weight was 136?  I am not getting my periods back yet.  Im trying because my husband and i would like to have a baby now.
