*Slow and Steady* Challenge
Well, I am not sure if this group will even appeal to anyone, and I am not looking for too many people who will be up for this. If no one signs up, no biggie -- but I am wondering if there is anyone out there who, like me, is more interested in losing just a little bit each week, but being able to stay on track longer!
My "goal" is to lose 0.5 lbs per week. I could lose more, who knows, but if I lose just 0.5 per week I will be more than happy. This challenge is going to go for eight (8) weeks!

Sorry it took me awhile to reply to you all -- last month of school is getting hairy! lol Still, though I am amazed at the progress that everyone is making. I think it's great that so many of you are getting right on at your half a lb a week and lots of you even more than that! It's fabulous, truly, and you all inspire me to get my nose to the grindstone. I'm sorry that my weight-loss has been so erratic. I wish I could be a better example of the group I created, and yet here I am losing and gaining a few lbs every week ahha Oh, that's irony for you. I'm lovin' it though, gals!! Keep it up! We're almost halfway there -- WE CAN DO THIS =D

I forgot to weigh in last week but am up 1 lb from the week before. At least I'm down from my starting weight by 1/2 lb! Something is better than nothing. Considering I've been home all week on vacation and not really exercising as much I'm not really surprised. Next week things will get back on track so I should start seeing a loss again.

Sorry I wasn't around last week gals -- I had some personal stuff going on. It didn't help that my weight had gone up AGAIN. Anyway, THIS WEEK, I finally lost the TTOM weight, and then a bit. Hilariously, this puts me at JUST a little more than 0.5 per week. So.. yeah!! Rock on! Hope you're all doing very well!!

bubbles556 -- Arg! I hate when the scale does that -- dips up right on weigh-in day. You know, you're still right on schedule AND, the increase can be from any old thing.. water.. food weight.. ttom, etc. But the 194 doesn't lie! =D haha Great work!! Can't wait to see next week!
Everybody -- I am so happy to see everyone moving in the right direction! I feel so inspired every week when I come here and see how you're all making such great progress. Can't wait to see what April brings. See you next Saturday =D
My secret is simple: 30-35 g of fiber a day (yes, I use supplements like Benefiber if my daily diet doesn't allow me reach that) and 100+ oz. of water. Work has kept me swamped so I haven't been to the gym in 2 weeks. I also ignore daily grades and stick with a balance that works for me: 50% carbs (mostly healthy ones), 25% fats (again, mostly healthy), and 25% protein.
I also just haven't hit my first plateau yet. Just you wait, it'll happen. Keep up the good work everyone. I am so proud of ALL of you and am grateful for your support.
journeyfit, thanks for all your enthusiasm and positive perspective. the challenge actually ads a bit of fun to all this effort!
