Slowly Falling off the weightloss wagon!!! Help

Quote  |  Reply

So far I have lost 36 pounds since the month of February. I am still not content with my weight yet I find myself indulging a little too much. I keep telling myself one wont hurt. I really do not want to fall back into bad habits. What motivates you to get back on track????

Height:5'8

SW:181

Current: 147

Goal: 135

Don't give up :) You owe it to yourself to see it through to the end.You know you can do it, you already lost 34 pounds!

Don't beat yourself up, start fresh right now (and don't tempt yourself by eating just one!) and I know a breakthrough is around the corner!

Good luck!

I use exercise. I indulge in "just one" on occasion but I assign it to the "burn pile" -- it has to be burned (exercised) off. I'm not an extremist or compulsive about it, but I do try to put in some more time the following day to working out and I also use the "burn pile" as a way to really think about whether I want to indulge or not -- it takes a lot of extra time on a treadmill to wear off a latte I must say!

I think this is a GREAT idea!  I feel like an idiot because I've always reversed it (i.e. "Oh, I worked out so hard, I'll just eat this entire cake."  Well, I never ate an entire cake, but you get the idea).  Definitely putting the exercise after the indulgence is so simple yet effective.

The burn pile is a really good idea!  I need to start thinking of treats as just that - TREATS that you have just one of every once in a while, only if you burn it off.  Maybe then I will realize that the pumpkin pie or chocolate is not worth it.
