Small food scale recommendations?

Quote  |  Reply

I weigh my food at home so that I can accurately enter it here at CC.  I'd like to get a small food scale to keep in my desk at work so that I can do the same there.  One with a cover would be terrific.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

I got "The Biggest Loser" food scale at Bed, Bath, and Beyond for $20.  It's electronic, measures in grams and ounces, and has a tare feature.

Thanks.  Found it on Amazon -- it does look nice and small.

Still hoping someone might have a suggestion for one with a lid or cover.

On ebay you can pick up a small scale (4"x2.5") for under $6, including S&H.  Probably good for your desk at work.  Too small for home in my estimation.

I don't know if this is what you had in mind, Isunski, but just found this one at Amazon.

What I also found is that most of the scales with covers were larger and more expensive.  What if you just got a small scale without a cover and then stored it in one of those plastic Ziploc containers in a drawer at work?  Just a thought.

Good luck.
