Small step, but still exciting!! :)

So I'm on week three of my new running program. It's like the couch to 5k, but it's from Runner's World and in 8 weeks you build up to running 30 minutes at a time.

So anyway, I started week 3 today, which is run 5 minutes/walk 1 (repeat 5x)... and I did it and didn't even feel like I was going to die!! :) This is amazing for me, since two weeks ago I couldn't run for 1 minute at a time without feeling like I was going to fall over.

Picture this... me, running on the treadmill at the gym... between 2 athletic people... keeping up with their running! That was me today! :)

Just wanted to share...

That is wonderful, good for you!

Great job!  I'm working on week 3 of C25K and I believe my next week is something like that...Again, great job! And just remember, all the small steps count and add up!

Grats!!! I knew about C25k for a while now but just started it this Monday. And hopefully I'll keep it up and be able to run 5 min without panting and dying out of breath

That is awesome! I joined a running club at work (walk to 5k program) and we are in week five - I cannot believe that I haven't dropped out yet - but I just keep going and keep moving forward.

Here is to running our first 5k this summer without walking... Cheers!

I just wanted to say congrats guys!

I use to run a lot (competitions) when I was younger and due to a knee injury I had to stop. In March I decided that I was going to start running again and see how my knee would take it. So far so good. When I started I would go for 15 minutes and nearly die! I felt like my lungs were on fire and my legs were burning. Now I go for an hour and I feel good. No more burning lungs and legs. :)

You guys will see how fast it picks up!

Congrats to you all and keep up the good work! :)

Congrats!!! I was doing C25K last year, but quit after a while (I don't remember why.....) maybe I should pick it back up... I fail at running haha
