Drink a lot more water, eat less processed foods and more whole foods, reduce your sodium intake and avoid drinking too much alcohol or caffeine.  Other than that there's not a lot you can realistically do.
hi lstein!, I know exactly how you feel. I used to have much more cellulite than now, my thighs skin looks much better today and at least I can see a huge difference. Do you like drinking pop soda? eating any kind of processed foods? salt? coffee?.. well. I reduced all of these and I started workin out, it really helped me a lot. Drink plenty of water. Remember that cellulite has to do with genetics.

Sucks, doesn't it?! :-P

But seriously, I have the same issues (though I am not as slim as the OP), and it frustrates me to no end, because no matter how muscular and slim I am/was/will be, I will always have cellulite, just like my mom...and after committing to being healthy and treating my body nicely, there's not much else you can do!

EVERYONE has cellulite.  You're actually more abnormal if you don't  have it.  So working on the basis that normal is nothing to be ashamed of or depressed about.... Learn to love your cellulite :-)
I heard iodized salt can "produce" (for lack of a better word) cellulite. So maybe switch to sea salt.

just fyi, cellulite is a skin thing more than it is a weight thing.

I don't know how valid this is, but I read somewhere that jumping rope was a good exercise (along with the other tips mentioned above) to help reduce the appearence of cellulite. Seaweed body wraps are supposed to be a temporary fix, but that is expensive I'm sure.

There is not much you can do. Most women have it and the degree depends on your genes. I have always heard that apples are supposed to be good, but maybe that just is because you eat more fruits then and it doesn't really matter what fruit it is.

All of the suggestions could work... however any woman with a body fat percent over 10% (which it should be) is going to have a dimple or maybe a lot...

I think the problem is, when you look at other women your weight you don't notice the little that they have.  So you get jealous, but I bet you they look at you and feel the same.  We all notice our own problems more then others.

thanks everyone! I appreciate all the replies..

I AM guilty of not drinking enough water (some days im lucky to get in 32 oz), and eating too many processed foods (lunch meat, baked chips, veggie burgers etc..) - two thing i definetly need to work hard on.

i guess its just something i'm prediposed to, which, as a lot of people said MOST women are to varying degrees.

anyway, thanks for the advise and i welcome anything more - has anyone seen significant improvement with exercise? ie, if i get my body fat % down (i have no idea what it is, i would guess about 18%) would that help?
I heard dry body brushing before your shower, focusing hard on the cellulite areas is supposed to help. Don't know if it's true or not.

oH No... Coffee and Cellulite.  Noooooo.

Is this true? I drink like 5 cups of coffee a day.

*sadness*

Here are a few tips for reducing cellulite that i found on the net:

Start each day with a cup of hot water with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice. Replace your coffee, soft drinks and cordials with water.

Pile your plate with vegies and salads splashed with a low-fat dressing or a touch of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Eat lots of fruit, including vitamin C-packed citrus fruits, kiwifruit, mango and berries.

Ditch the salt — it makes your body retain water. Add flavour to your meals with herbs and spices like black pepper, chilli or garlic.

Avoid processed and refined foods. Go for wholegrain cereals, breads, pastas and rice. Buy fresh vegies, meat and fruit and prepare your meals from scratch. It doesn't have to take hours. There are plenty of recipe books around with quick, low-fat food ideas.

Running is one of the best forms of exercise for toning and firming your legs. If running isn't for you, try cellulite-busting cycling or walking.

There is no miracle cure but I hope these help!

I heard that a good daily exfoliation can help the celullite. I've done it and I see results; I almost don't have celullite, it went away with the fat I lost. Keep exercising (power-walking is amazing!) and drink at least 8-10 glasses of water everyday.  You'll never remove it completely, but you can make it almost invisible.

Back in the 20's, 30's, 40's, etc., people didn't have celullite because they ate natural food; they didn't drink sodas, they didn't eat microwave meals, they didn't consume all the chemicals we consume today. =[ I wish I was born on my grandma's generation.

I am 21 y/o female.. 5'2.. vary from 105-110.. and I have had a cellulite problem for EVER.. Let me know if you find a cure!

(drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of pineapple for a week DID help diminish the appearance, though)
I have the same problem. I'm a healthy weight but I have a little cellulite on my upper thighs. It really bothers me

How much less coffee and soda should you drink? I drink 1 to 2 coffees a day and 1 to 2 Diet Cokes (or less) a day. I love coffee and I find when I stop drinking soft drinks I eat more. I am active and drink a lot of water.

I am 27 5'4" and 128 lbs (athletic build).

p.s. this is the area of my body that bothers me the most. I found that (as some of you have already said) when I wax my thighs (even if you hardly have any hair), exfoliate regularly and use a self-tanning lotion, that the area looks better.
