Smoke free 2 years and counting!!!!
Hey guys - it is great to find smoke free dieters!!! I smoked for 35 years and finally had a successful quit. I went on the American Lung Association's website and found a great group of people and they were a big - rather huge help.
So now smoke free and fat. I gained 45 pounds and now the time has come to deal with it. Today I went to the gym during lunch and man o man that was a trip. They have mirrors everywhere!!! Yikes - who was that chunky girl? do I know her? I don't think so!!!
My husband doesn't believe I can loose the weight. The fat women in his family never do. He forgets that I have lost weight before. I haven't the heart to tell him that my secret in the past was to smoke my way through it. Oh well, he really - really does not need to know that.
Well, I have 370 calories left for the day and I haven't a clue on what to eat. So many calories and so few ideas!!!!
You are funny. Congrats on the two years. That's great! I too grew during my quit and am here to lose a few... Need to keep the calories down during the evenings and weekends is key for me. One day at a time. Today is day 3.
Hey Steve,
Great to meet a fellow quitter!!! I am also on day 3 here and I have learned quit a bit and I am really starting to like this. You know it is true that if we can quit smoking and go through a torture non smokers never understand - then we can beat this!!! I hope you have a great day and We are gonna be really fine in 2009!!!!
