Snack Ideas
I reaaally need some awesome snack ideas!
Just then I had a pretty yummy one, which was:
1 piece of whole-wheat grainy bread with a very generous amount of peanut butter also with half of a massive banana and honey on top :D And then I ate the other half of the banana on it's own. (I seriously think that banana was equal to two haha). Oh and a glass of milk :)
Man, it was good.
So has any one got any good snack ideas? I would prefer crazy ones with odd but awesome tasting combinations hehe.
.hey.. i don't have a weigh-in until 26th of Oct. I'm not weighing myself at home cause I have only 0,5 kg accuracy on my scale so it's pretty pointless.I think i'm at 48,5 now though. On my scale. I trust the doctor's though and it usually says about 1-1,5 kg more than my home scale..
anyways it's been harder with school .. BUT i haven't lost any (have been sick for almost a month also, coughing), just the gaining is harder because of the long days at school and realizing after school at 4PM that i'm way under what i should be and pretty much shoving it in until very late hours.
I did go to my endocrinologist yesterday and gave blood for some tests so she can see how my estrogen etc levels have changed and so on. So my recovery is being monitored and i'm happy for that. Can't wait to be healthy and happy.. Although I am struggling with body image... bleh, it just seems to me that everyone is so skinny around me and its like whyyyyyyyyyy am i the one who has to gain, why don't they.. yeah, such stupid thoughts sometimes run through my head.. But I try to tell myself that I look good.. haha
maaaan, this post is long and it has nothing to do with snack ideas.. but since you asked, illusion :)
OH but I had a PB and banana sandwich this morning :)! I'll probably have another one with cheese later ;)
oh well it doesn't matter it's not snack related, this is the weight gain forum and it's my thread afterall :P
I hope you get better soon, coughing is no fun. it's really good you haven't lost any weight though, and that you're being monitored and all that :)
I have the same thoughts! I just try not to compare but it's hard you know? I'm kind of struggling with weight gain atm, finding it reaaally hard to want to gain weight when I look at myself and I look so.. just normal. I want to lose... but I know I can't. *sigh* just one of those days.
I had a vegemite and cheese sandwich today (australian thing lol) yumm. I think i'm starting a sandwich obsession ahah :S
school starts for me on monday (after a two week holiday) i'm so nervous for it, especially because my eating habits start to really suck then.
I have a new favorite breakfast / snack combination! Instead of almond butter (or PB) & banana toast where I layer sliced banana over almond butter, I've been mixing the banana & the almond butter together into a spread. I also mix some cinnamon in.
My favorite ratio is 1/2 banana and 1T almond butter, plus a lot of cinnamon, which is super banana-y, but 2T almond butter (again, or PB) would also work really well. You could also add maple syrup or molasses, or cocoa powder. . . endless possibilities. . .
I second Karina ''pumpkin yogurt'' idea!
I personnally just use half yogurt, half pumpkin. I also add some raisin :)
And maybe you could add some molasses for a more ''pie'' flavour. ;p

Although to be honest I can't get my head around pumpkin yoghurt haha, I don't know it, it just seems like the stangest thing.
More so than PB + cheese :P
I guess cause here in aus they're not really big on pumpkin? But I could be wrong. Ah well I can't knock it till I try it :D
